Home is an indie adventure horror video game developed and published by BandyCo in 2012. It offers a unique take on the horror genre by presenting a murder mystery with a twist. Every decision the player makes shapes the outcome, creating a personalized and unsettling narrative. In Home, the player isn't just uncovering a mystery they're actively crafting it, piece by piece.
NoirStation Rating: ⭐⭐ - I have mixed thoughts about Home. Maybe it’s just not my genre. The lack of interactivity made the experience feel more like a text-based story than a game. While it aims to create a unique, psychological horror experience, it leans heavily on the "it's all in your head" trope a concept that's become something of a cliché, especially with how often it's used in Silent Hill inspired titles. Ultimately, it left me more detached than disturbed.
Video Chapters:
Black Out - 00:00:00
Tunnels - 00:06:17
Fresh Air - 00:21:45
Factory - 00:33:00
To Normans - 00:41:25
Home - 00:48:00
This video was recorded, played in my own style, and edited by me. The longplay is designed to be as fluid as possible, free of deaths, unnecessary menus, loading screens, or aimless wandering, to serve as a clear and accessible walkthrough. It’s intended for educational, preservation, or entertainment purposes. Both the review and description are written by me. All gaming videos on this channel are original content that I create myself from start to finish.
