50 Cent: Bulletproof G Unit Edition is a top down action game developed by High Voltage Software and published by Vivendi Universal Games International in 2006. The story follows 50 Cent after a member of his entourage is kidnapped and he is shot during the incident. He survives, and it’s now up to the player to hunt down those responsible, take revenge, and uncover the truth behind the events.
NoirStation Rating: ⭐⭐⭐ - I assume the home console version is the stronger experience, but I didn’t encounter any major problems with the handheld version either. It’s a real time capsule that captures early-2000s hip-hop culture, but it clearly lacks overall polish. The gameplay becomes repetitive, and because of that it ultimately lands at an average score. It’s also worth noting that the home console release is a very different game in terms of structure, so this rating applies specifically to the handheld edition.
