Firewatch is a narrative driven, first person adventure or simply put, a walking simulator. Developed and published by Campo Santo back in 2016. The story follows a man named Henry, who takes on a solitary job as a fire lookout in the Wyoming wilderness. Over the course of 79 in game days, we'll explore the stunning terrain surrounding the Two Forks lookout, only to discover that things out here aren't quite as lonely as they seem.
NoirStation Rating: ⭐⭐⭐ - The game features truly beautiful visuals, which are complemented perfectly by its ambient sounds and music. Firewatch definitely opens up the debate about video games being art. Big plus is the replayability, the game adapts to almost every dialogue choice or action you take, making it nearly impossible to have the exact same playthrough twice. However, the things I really didn't like are the characters. For me, they just seemed annoying. The game has that distinct 'millennial writing' to its characters, which I'm just not a fan of. I'm also still not a fan of the gameplay, at the end of the day, all I'm really doing is walking. The experience could have been greatly improved with some puzzles or perhaps some timed events. It doesn't necessarily need action pieces to be a good game, but in my opinion, this would have made a better movie than a video game.

This video was recorded, played in my own style, and edited entirely by me. The longplay is designed to be as fluid as possible, free of deaths, unnecessary menus, loading screens, or aimless wandering, to serve as a clear, accessible walkthrough. It is intended for educational, preservation, and entertainment purposes. Both the review and description are written by me, as are the voice overs, which are fully spoken and recorded by myself. All gaming videos on this channel are original content that I create from start to finish.
