Terry Sylvester and Bernie Calvert left the Hollies in 1981. The band then had a surprise UK hit with a medley of their past hits, “Holliedaze”. They invited Graham Nash to rejoin them for an appearance on UK’s “Top Of The Pops” and agreed to cut an album for Atlantic. It was a US success, reaching #90 on the album chart, while the lead track, “Stop In The Name Of Love” made it to #29 on the Hot-100.
Alan Tarney and Trevor Spencer were recording artists in their own right, releasing a number of singles om Private Stock and A&M in the late 70s. As writers, they penned “Living In Harmony” for Cliff Richard, among others. Tom Snow co-wrote Deniece Williams’ “Let’s Hear It For The Boy”, also among many others.
“Something Ain’t Right” first appeared on 45 by a UK group, Stranger, in 1979.
