BRUTAL DOOM V22 by SgtMarkIV is of course one of the most known DOOM mods, here with the DUALITY WAD played on the Ultra-Violence difficulty level with 100% Secrets explored. Havent played Brutal Doom for a very long time and most of the things in the mod are completely new to me, for example the rework of the weapons and their new look. In my perpective I see that the Rocket Launcher seems to have the way faster rate of fire than before and its great because it is one of the most important weapons in DOOM by a mile. The Assault Shotgun currently does terrible, terrible damage to anything, it surely became one of my favourite weapons to use in Brutal Doom, just look at the firepower it does. In fact it seems to be a much stronger weapon than a Super Shotgun (but having much smaller chance to spawn), still I was very nicely surprised how powerful weapon it is. The standard Assault Rifle is as always a jack of all trades while fighting up to mid enemies, one of the best weapons to place easy headshots, very accurate and comes with grenade launcher. Maybe its just me but Railgun maybe received a rather noticeable nerf and while indeed it pierces through enemies as always, but damage seems to be lower and looks like a highly situational weapon. As for the mappack, Duality is a quick WAD with just 5 maps to play but they are also quite difficult, every map has custom Cyberdemon with homing Revenant-like missiles and they are invulnerable. In fact every Cyberdemon can be eliminated only by using switches around them but - some of the switches are mandatory as Cyberdemon locks the exit, some needs keys found from the secrets. So its only up to you if you are able to find all the keys - if not, you will be simply attacked by these monsters around various place on map, however they will not chase you. By the way, Concord is a great disaster story :)

Enhanced Vanilla Project 2.9 Gameplay Mod for DOOM by A_D_M_E_R_A_L and The Incident Map for DOOM II Hell On Earth by elend on the Ultra Violence difficulty level with 100% Secrets achieved. Enhanced Vanilla Project made by A_D_M_E_R_A_L is a vanilla styled gameplay mod where everything from DOOM II Hell On Earth is visually enhanced with some small additional gameplay features. For example look at the new Archvile - slightly changed sprite but in my opinion the EVP version of Archvile is way more threatening because his attacks can... track you in a small distance so do not stand still. The Revenant sprite has been slightly altered to armor it a bit with a black armor and a helmet yet it still the same, there is also a better distinction between unguigded and guided missiles that are green now. The modification also has its own system of gore implemented to the game and in my opinion it simply looks beautiful, the demons tend to be gibbed even when you use a chainsaw at them, Imps explode a lot. As for the weapons they rather work the same as it was in the vanilla, the small difference is with the Rocket Launcher that has slower rate of fire and has a small cooldown between shots, but still a very strong weapon. The standard pistol as always is an underwhelming weapon that should be replaced with anything as soon as possible, the Chainsaw has a 50% chance to gib the enemy and because of additional blade its damage is doubled! EVP also has some other submods already built in like Tilt+, DarkDoomZ or Motion Blur - so if you want to load these mods separetely with the EVP, you will simply get an error. The Incident is a medium sized level with almost ~250 monsters on the Ultra Violence difficulty level, it offers an understandable progression of player, even giving you the weapons except Chainsaw and BFG in easy spot. Before progressing to the Hell in the basement of the complex, first you need to find the blue and red keycards hidden inside a complex, they are quite easy to find just like a total of four secrets too. When you travel down by the elevator you will notice a big change in the climax of the map - the hellish growth appears and pools of blood replace the toxic sludge, there is also a Boss and some Archviles waiting for you too.

PROJECT BRUTALITY 3.0 together with E1M5 Phobos Lab Remake by GuardSoul on Man And A Half difficulty level for Ultimate Doom, Chaotic Random spawn preset, 100% Secrets achieved. Project Brutality 3.0 is an upcoming version of one of the best available mods for the classic Doom - expect a lot of fun when playing it. Please note that the Project Brutality 3.0 in its current state is still Work In Progress, so bugs are to be expected, together with crashes to desktop (same with addons, they are not 100% always compatible and actual). To be clear when you download this map and have problems while loading - this is a map for The Ultimate Doom IWAD not DOOM II Hell On Earth and it occupies E1M5 slot as original Phobos Lab, it does not start as a first map in the episode. The improved textures are because of the HD Textures mod that you can find downloadable in the description, remember that there are various versions that you have to load, obviously dont load Ultimate Doom textures with DOOM II and vice versa. These weapons (vanilla weapons of Project Brutality) look so smooth because of the Neural Upscale addon in the description, but be careful because if you have a skin for other vanilla weapon like Shotgun, it will create conflicts. This remake created by GuardSoul is a faithful remake together with newly added areas, improved textures (in vanilla) some custom scripting like activation of lasers, force field destruction etc. and horizontal doors in the level. There are some freshly added secrets like the ventilation shaft with a small bonus inside (just jump and kick the grating) some secrets have completely different triggers (fe. buttons) and one of them can be deadly to use. If you jump incorrectly to a platform with Invisibility Sphere (replaced by captured Marine here because of Project Brutality) you will instantly die, so time your jump correctly otherwise you are going to restart the level. This is also one of the very rare cases where map author states that jumping & crouching are mandatory, surely you will not got going to find some places if you stuck to vanilla, its also helpful when navigating through toxic slime. Map has of course few different areas when compared to the original, for example the Rocket Launcher + Megaarmor secret no longer is a secret area (shame because Ive triggered 7 of them out of 8) and final arena does not need Night Vision Goggles.

BRUTAL DOOM v21 together with a Power Fantasy addon made by Wolvexus and The Ashen Steppe map from Elementalism by Bridgeburner56 for Doom II Hell On Earth on the Ultra-Violence difficulty level, 100% Secrets achieved. The Ashen Steppes is a first map from the Fire World available in the Elementalism mappack, a pretty fantastic looking mappack with astonishing visuals and details, every level is an art in its own league. We start in an open area with lots of stuff on the ground, not so far from you there is a mandatory shotgun spawn to grab and also a first quite an easy secret to spot, a Chaingun behind some nasty Imps. BUT when you look behind, there is another place waiting for you to explore with two really easy secrets to be checked - a fire charge to your wand and a ROCKET LAUNCHER with some ammo in the cave with enemies. With first three secrets found in less than a minute we can focus on moving ahead to the next area, you will have to flip some switches and also find a fourth secret inside a cave, a Soulsphere. You will find yourself eventually inside some sort of mine/chapel with lots of demons inside, from this moment map will be getting more and more difficult, some Revenants ambushes are incredibly annoying to deal with. Because in Power Fantasy there is a special variant of Revenant that likes to be invincible until striking you with a punch, these are the highest priority targets for you, once you see them try to blast these as soon as possible. Thankfully this map does not have a lot of Zombies placed so you will not meet such obstacles such as Sniper Zombies that might blast you almost instantly with two placed shots, but still, some monsters in Power Fantasy are OP. You are going to find Energy Cells placed on some kind of pillar that cannot be reached normally, in this case you just need to press a hidden switch nearby, then just step on the pillar to trigger fifth secret on this map. Last two secrets demand from you shooting/pushing a green button to be found nearby the pillars/bars that have to be lowered, nothing too difficult and both with both them found you have 100% of the secrets found. You might need to make a one or two save files while playing this map, the ultimate battle to pick up the yellow skull key might be quite exhausting if you are not ready so good luck.
