BRUTAL DOOM v21 GOLD release with DARK DOOM Z addon, map The Umbra of Fate for DOOM II Hell On Earth by Remilia Scarlett on the Ultra-Violence difficulty level. The Umbra of Fate is a very difficult WAD with one single level divided into sectors with a proper introduction to each (you have a briefing pause with text), and luckily autosaves are created then. Luckily because the WAD is twisted in terms of difficulty and surprises, pretty much every room has its own surprise waiting for you like sudden ambush of sorcerers or other devils. The map' has a mix of of the DOOM and custom monsters from Heretic/Hexen plus some others, on the medium the map is nicely playable but on Hard/Nightmare custom settings it might really get tedious. The beginning of the WAD gives you a possibility to change the difficulty in a custom room similar to the Quake I selection (Easy - Normal - Hard - Nightmare), but even with this, it is challenging. If you want to play the WAD with a gameplay mod you might need however to use a cheat with weapons, because at first you cannot use anything, thus I had to give myself some weapons at start. We start outside with several monsters already surrounding us, you can grab some additional health and armor bonuses together with ammo nearby, you will surely need because it's scarce. It's scarce till you get into the building and find a first secret below the stairs, in a small water pond there is a backpack to pick already, leave the pond quickly and get to the teleporter. Your first real trip inside the building will be by an elevator down to search a yellow skull key and kill a Cyberdemon below, nothing too hard but some sections might give you a headache. Thankfully near the Cyberdemon there is a Plasma Rifle to be picked up, map will become a little bit easier since that, but still lots of fighting in small areas is waiting for you, some lava traps involved. Fight your way till you reach a corridor with pool of lava, to the left you will find a last set of doors - once you open it, the boss of this level awaits, dispose it as soon as possible because it's annoying.

BRUTAL DOOM v21 together with a Power Fantasy addon made by Wolvexus and The Ashen Steppe map from Elementalism by Bridgeburner56 for Doom II Hell On Earth on the Ultra-Violence difficulty level, 100% Secrets achieved. The Ashen Steppes is a first map from the Fire World available in the Elementalism mappack, a pretty fantastic looking mappack with astonishing visuals and details, every level is an art in its own league. We start in an open area with lots of stuff on the ground, not so far from you there is a mandatory shotgun spawn to grab and also a first quite an easy secret to spot, a Chaingun behind some nasty Imps. BUT when you look behind, there is another place waiting for you to explore with two really easy secrets to be checked - a fire charge to your wand and a ROCKET LAUNCHER with some ammo in the cave with enemies. With first three secrets found in less than a minute we can focus on moving ahead to the next area, you will have to flip some switches and also find a fourth secret inside a cave, a Soulsphere. You will find yourself eventually inside some sort of mine/chapel with lots of demons inside, from this moment map will be getting more and more difficult, some Revenants ambushes are incredibly annoying to deal with. Because in Power Fantasy there is a special variant of Revenant that likes to be invincible until striking you with a punch, these are the highest priority targets for you, once you see them try to blast these as soon as possible. Thankfully this map does not have a lot of Zombies placed so you will not meet such obstacles such as Sniper Zombies that might blast you almost instantly with two placed shots, but still, some monsters in Power Fantasy are OP. You are going to find Energy Cells placed on some kind of pillar that cannot be reached normally, in this case you just need to press a hidden switch nearby, then just step on the pillar to trigger fifth secret on this map. Last two secrets demand from you shooting/pushing a green button to be found nearby the pillars/bars that have to be lowered, nothing too difficult and both with both them found you have 100% of the secrets found. You might need to make a one or two save files while playing this map, the ultimate battle to pick up the yellow skull key might be quite exhausting if you are not ready so good luck.

Project Brutality 3.0 is an upcoming version of one of the best available mods for the classic Doom - expect a lot of fun when playing it. Please note that the Project Brutality 3.0 in its current state is still Work In Progress, so bugs are to be expected, together with crashes to desktop (same with addons, they are not 100% always compatible and actual). Welcome to the Hydrosphere, an UAC water facility placed in the middle of somewhere where demons decided to show up from hot Hell and get some fresh water to their demonic mouths, but this time they will receive some bullets. This WAD might take you over 30-40 minutes to complete with aiming at finding all secrets (and they are not that difficult to find, plus there are not so many of them, two is maximum per map). The difficulty curve is approachable for most of the players as with every new level there are more and more higher tier monsters added to the party, for example in first level you have Cacodemons and Hell Knights as the most threatening. While since second level the Pain Elementals with Barons of Hell, Mancubi and Revenants are going to show in various places around a map, plus most of the ambushes for now are performed by weaker monsters like Zombies or Imps. Starting from the third map you are going to meet Arch-Viles in every level with even more annoying ambushes placed to surprise you, if you are playing this with Project Brutality 3.0 it means even more Flesh Wizards, ouch. The real difficulty begins with the fourth map and above because this is a point where ambushes with multiple Revenants or Hell Knight accompanied by other smaller monsters begin to appear, and these traps are not easy. Of course the most difficult level is the final one where nasty ambushes and monster count is the highest, it also has a small boss fight at the end with a Cyberdemon (of course his henchmen are also going to teleport). As for the secrets mentioned previously, they are not hat diverse because you are mostly going to find five things in them - its either a Soulsphere, Megaarmor, Berserk Pack or in the final level a Megasphere with BFG in outdoor arena. And trust me these two final secrets of this WAD are crucial in the last map because outdoor arena has lots of monsters including the Revenants, Mancubi, Arachnotrons and even an Arch-Vile... that last in open space means trouble.

Caves of Despair is a pretty large and complex map with a lot of rooms for you to explore, including the quite important secrets to find (7 in total) that make the map way easier to complete so try to find them as many as possible. Map already begins with you being exposed to the multiple demons outside - you might notice that the whole ground is made of lava and it seems that there was a large bridge connecting two areas, maybe Earth fused with Hell again? Anyway move as quickly as possible with defeating as many demons as you can from this area, grab every possible weapon, bonus and ammo and move to the titular Caves of Despair, inside take care of everyone to make the area safer. In this large room with a pillar in the center you already have an access to two secrets - one simply requires to dive to an area with armor and Rocket Launcher, second is a teleporter behind fake wall to a Soulsphere outside. At the bottom of this large room is the corridor leading you to the first blue skull key, to the right in the room with Pustules there is another secret, behind a fake wall there is a Berserk Pack for you to grab, huge bonus in Project Brutality. Enter a large arena and take care of the demons in the arena, some might even reveal a hidden Soulsphere for you behind a damaged wall by shooting an explosive at it, when the fight is done enter a room that needs a blue skull key and grab a yellow one. But dont leave the area so fast, as there a fifth secret for you to be revealed, when you use a hidden switch on one of the bookshelves, a pillar will reveal a bonus armor for you, leave a room and go to a teleporter with yellow skull key. Behind the large wooden doors thing will get a little more difficult than before, defeat monsters and move outside - there will be a Spider Mastermind waiting for you, after a fight hit a switch and run to the elevator, secret leading you to ULTRASPHERE. In the last room that has a red skull key needed to enter a final arena with the last abomination waiting for you, find a one wall texture not similar to others, once pressed one of the pillars will be lowered to reveal a final secret - the BFG.

Project Brutality 3.0 is an upcoming version of one of the best available mods for the classic Doom - expect a lot of fun when playing it. Doom II Dark World is a quite large DOOM 2 WAD that has 11 levels for you to play, as the title of this WAD suggests it is a DOOM 2 recreation but with a much darker vibe and naturally also more difficult than previously. WAD recreates first 11 levels (from Gateway to Circle of Death) giving you a quite big headache compared to the original, even first level throws a Revenant, Cacodemon and Hell Knight at you, and its first level! Layouts of the levels are close to the originals but of course with a small twist, giving a harder paths, for example small rails above lava pits, nukage instead of water, way harder traps than before and same with higher tier monsters. For example Tricks & Traps (MAP08) has such a big amount of ambushes against player that a quantity of monsters is above 300, every room is a one big trap involving lava surprises and even worse, teleporting enemies close to you. If you want to survive, the good thing is simply to be as mobile as possible because Pinkies and Lost Souls are pretty almost everywhere and these love to block you in the worst places, in case of Phantasms its even worse... This is also one of the best WADs for you to use the Flamethrowers in Project Brutality, lots of these annoying ambushes can be abused by you with torching everything in sight, if you are lucky you can flame up over 50 demons in no time. As I mentioned earlier, levels are cranked up when compared to the originals in crazy way, they are way darker with some Hellish style added to them very early, just look at these pretty skies above you, welcome to Hell On Earth. The grand finale to this WAD is The Cocytus (MAP11) where you immediately start ambushed by lots of enemies surrounding you, as I counted there are over 80 of them that can be eliminated during first minute of the level alone. This is one of the very rare WADs (not megawads) where I was able to grab every addon weapon I use, you will also fight every monster from the roster including lots of Cyberdemons placed here in various places, honestly.

Welcome to the third level of Fire Realm in the Elementalism WAD called The Steamclock Labyrinth, it can be a very confusing map because of its cubic layout in four different levels, each has at least 6 to 8 rooms, very similar to each other. Maps difficulty increases with each level, for example at the beginning you will fight only weaker enemies such as Lost Souls, Imps, Pinkies, Cacodemons and other light stuff, nothing too difficult and dangerous so far. At the end of the first level you are going to encounter some sort of cage/elevator that needs two keys to be activated (yellow and red skull keys respectively), behind active doors there is one of the keys waiting for you. But once that skull key is picked up, a magic is going to happen - once you leave the room, you will notice that it is not the same room as before entering, youve simply changed location to another elevation, of course more difficult. Since you enter a second level, things are going to be a little complicated, Revenants and Mancubi are going to appear together with Hell Knights, some rooms have been altered to be cramped and way less friendly for you to explore. You are going to encounter such things with every level such as jumping over lava (thankfully its not an instakill floor), lowering tight floors (because why not), really annoying ambushes, jumping to timed small cages etc.. Of course every room is also going to give you a bigger and bigger headache such as sudden appearance of few Revenants while you cant run away because behind you there is only burning lava, or even worse a sudden Overlord behind you. Once you reach an elevator marked with yellow skull key, you are almost near end of the level - these are the final rooms of this map and of course the hardest with final Cyberdemon at the end, all you need then is just to enter an elevator. As for the secrets themselves, there is a total of 5 to find them while playing - two are just at the beginning of the map (Chainsaw and Berserk Pack), you will also find two Soulspheres and Elemental charge.
