PROJECT BRUTALITY 3.0 together with Caves of Despair for DOOM 2 by Razor-Wind on the Man and a Half difficulty level, Chaotic Random spawn preset, 100% Secrets achieved. Project Brutality 3.0 is an upcoming version of one of the best available mods for the classic Doom - expect a lot of fun when playing it. Please note that the Project Brutality 3.0 in its current state is still Work In Progress, so bugs are to be expected, together with crashes to desktop (same with addons, they are not 100% always compatible and actual). Caves of Despair is a pretty large and complex map with a lot of rooms for you to explore, including the quite important secrets to find (7 in total) that make the map way easier to complete so try to find them as many as possible. Map already begins with you being exposed to the multiple demons outside - you might notice that the whole ground is made of lava and it seems that there was a large bridge connecting two areas, maybe Earth fused with Hell again? Anyway move as quickly as possible with defeating as many demons as you can from this area, grab every possible weapon, bonus and ammo and move to the titular Caves of Despair, inside take care of everyone to make the area safer. In this large room with a pillar in the center you already have an access to two secrets - one simply requires to dive to an area with armor and Rocket Launcher, second is a teleporter behind fake wall to a Soulsphere outside. At the bottom of this large room is the corridor leading you to the first blue skull key, to the right in the room with Pustules there is another secret, behind a fake wall there is a Berserk Pack for you to grab, huge bonus in Project Brutality. Enter a large arena and take care of the demons in the arena, some might even reveal a hidden Soulsphere for you behind a damaged wall by shooting an explosive at it, when the fight is done enter a room that needs a blue skull key and grab a yellow one. But don't leave the area so fast, as there a fifth secret for you to be revealed, when you use a hidden switch on one of the bookshelves, a pillar will reveal a bonus armor for you, leave a room and go to a teleporter with yellow skull key. Behind the large wooden doors thing will get a little more difficult than before, defeat monsters and move outside - there will be a Spider Mastermind waiting for you, after a fight hit a switch and run to the elevator, secret leading you to ULTRASPHERE. In the last room that has a red skull key needed to enter a final arena with the last abomination waiting for you, find a one wall texture not similar to others, once pressed one of the pillars will be lowered to reveal a final secret - the BFG.

Project Brutality 3.0 is an upcoming version of one of the best available mods for the classic Doom - expect a lot of fun when playing it. Doom II Dark World is a quite large DOOM 2 WAD that has 11 levels for you to play, as the title of this WAD suggests it is a DOOM 2 recreation but with a much darker vibe and naturally also more difficult than previously. WAD recreates first 11 levels (from Gateway to Circle of Death) giving you a quite big headache compared to the original, even first level throws a Revenant, Cacodemon and Hell Knight at you, and its first level! Layouts of the levels are close to the originals but of course with a small twist, giving a harder paths, for example small rails above lava pits, nukage instead of water, way harder traps than before and same with higher tier monsters. For example Tricks & Traps (MAP08) has such a big amount of ambushes against player that a quantity of monsters is above 300, every room is a one big trap involving lava surprises and even worse, teleporting enemies close to you. If you want to survive, the good thing is simply to be as mobile as possible because Pinkies and Lost Souls are pretty almost everywhere and these love to block you in the worst places, in case of Phantasms its even worse... This is also one of the best WADs for you to use the Flamethrowers in Project Brutality, lots of these annoying ambushes can be abused by you with torching everything in sight, if you are lucky you can flame up over 50 demons in no time. As I mentioned earlier, levels are cranked up when compared to the originals in crazy way, they are way darker with some Hellish style added to them very early, just look at these pretty skies above you, welcome to Hell On Earth. The grand finale to this WAD is The Cocytus (MAP11) where you immediately start ambushed by lots of enemies surrounding you, as I counted there are over 80 of them that can be eliminated during first minute of the level alone. This is one of the very rare WADs (not megawads) where I was able to grab every addon weapon I use, you will also fight every monster from the roster including lots of Cyberdemons placed here in various places, honestly.

Welcome to the third level of Fire Realm in the Elementalism WAD called The Steamclock Labyrinth, it can be a very confusing map because of its cubic layout in four different levels, each has at least 6 to 8 rooms, very similar to each other. Maps difficulty increases with each level, for example at the beginning you will fight only weaker enemies such as Lost Souls, Imps, Pinkies, Cacodemons and other light stuff, nothing too difficult and dangerous so far. At the end of the first level you are going to encounter some sort of cage/elevator that needs two keys to be activated (yellow and red skull keys respectively), behind active doors there is one of the keys waiting for you. But once that skull key is picked up, a magic is going to happen - once you leave the room, you will notice that it is not the same room as before entering, youve simply changed location to another elevation, of course more difficult. Since you enter a second level, things are going to be a little complicated, Revenants and Mancubi are going to appear together with Hell Knights, some rooms have been altered to be cramped and way less friendly for you to explore. You are going to encounter such things with every level such as jumping over lava (thankfully its not an instakill floor), lowering tight floors (because why not), really annoying ambushes, jumping to timed small cages etc.. Of course every room is also going to give you a bigger and bigger headache such as sudden appearance of few Revenants while you cant run away because behind you there is only burning lava, or even worse a sudden Overlord behind you. Once you reach an elevator marked with yellow skull key, you are almost near end of the level - these are the final rooms of this map and of course the hardest with final Cyberdemon at the end, all you need then is just to enter an elevator. As for the secrets themselves, there is a total of 5 to find them while playing - two are just at the beginning of the map (Chainsaw and Berserk Pack), you will also find two Soulspheres and Elemental charge.

Final Carnage is an epic 8+1 levels long Campaign where we play as the DOOMSLAYER during his trip to Mars UAC Facility where as always, some things went wrong and we have to clean some things up. First of all 8+1 as I did not include the secret level because dunno why I cannot open the first doors and Im stuck, seems like only noclipping worked for me in that place :(. The campaign is very similar to the Brutal Dooms Extermination Day campaign but of course smaller, it also has that Dissension & Half-Life feeling with adding lots of narration to the playthrough, a really good mappack. During some sections of the playthrough you might notice that you are observed by someone, of course you have no chance to reach that person closely, think of GMan in Half-Life who watches you all the time. The mappacks difficulty and pace varies across the levels, some of the sections are fast while the Gore Nest sections maybe quite slow because you have to finish off multiple demons waves. It is quite important to get as many secrets as possible because they have lots of goodies for you - when you play this mappack with Project Brutality (as it is recommended by author), it has lots of upgrades inside. Another good thing about this mappack, because this is a first episode and it this is a teaser for the incoming episode, your arsenal is limited and you have Plasma Rifle at the end, just before reaching the portal to Phobos. So your arsenal is quite limited up to the Rocket Launcher (and Flamethrowe) but you will meet all of the demons except Spider Mastermind, Archvile and Pain Elemental, thats for the next episode(s). Some of the sections of maps might be familiar to you, you might encounter (oh gosh, what a bad pun) a really nice Easter Egg in one of the caves, plus a final encounter is a quite nasty surprise.

Lullaby, one the most detailed for DOOM 2 Hell On Earth with lots of triggers and fighting, astonishing visuals in almost every corner and room on the map, also tons of heavy fighting because this level is surely difficult - you also need a compatibility patch from Brutal Repository to have the WAD working. On the Ultra-Violence difficulty level equivalent you have over 900 monsters placed on the map, the amount of hitscanners such as Shotgunners or Minigunners is really high, lots of them are placed alone to make them a not so high priority targets. Same goes with the amount of the mid to high tier monsters, practically every monster from beastiary is available to screw you up, insane quantity of Revenants and Barons of Hell is a high danger for you, especially when ambushed. To finish this map you need to gather 3 skull keys scattered in three different arenas that are quite difficult to be finished, each arena has tons of monsters that arrive to the scene with teleports, prepare for intense fighting. You can pick these arenas in any order you want, but some of them are shorter and easier, the easiest and the fastest is the yellow skull key but it also involves fighting few Cybies at once (is bugged a bit) bit still, the easiest. Next one is the arena with blue skull key, might be difficult at the beginning because of the presence of hitscanners and later because of tons of Cacodemons, but you do not need to fight them, just flip switches and run away. The most difficult is by far the arena withred skull key because this is an indoor arena with tons of hitscanners and heavy monsters, it will give you the biggest problems because you have no BFG, you need to find a good cover ASAP. You also can collect three normal keycards found in the secret places of the map, two of them are on your way to the blue skull key while one of them is in the Library near yellow skull key, these three keycards are needed to have final battle easier a bit. Because final arena involves three different waves of monsters, almost 300+ demons are waiting for you and Invulnerability Sphere + BFG spawn give you an edge while playing this map, sucks a bit Ive got Black Hole Generator here :P.

Project Brutality 3.0 is an upcoming version of one of the best available mods for the classic Doom - expect a lot of fun when playing it. Please note that the Project Brutality 3.0 in its current state is still Work In Progress, so bugs are to be expected, together with crashes to desktop (same with addons, they are not 100% always compatible and actual). Ive made a simple mistake with load order of the WAD and Project Brutality - while normally we load WAD and then Project Brutality, because of custom monsters added we might have some sprite mishaps, because PB overwrites WAD in this case. Anyway, Declaring New Apocalypse by Kan3 is a pretty long WAD with a lot of custom monsters added like spooky Skeletons, Blood Skulls, new variant of Imp, Scientists, Octatrons, Gatekeeper Demon and few more including the bosses. The level design is astonishing here, all of the maps are incredibly detailed and are fun to play, especially the Hell levels are outstanding together with Cemetery, first five maps are something truly remarkable in terms of aesthetics. In few places I had to use the Noclip cheat because scripts of the WAD might not be working correctly with gameplay mods like Project Brutality, in case it was not possible for me to progress through I had to use noclip. Another thing is with the secrets - some of them are triggered only when you pick up an item that is inside a WAD but does not appear in Project Brutality, in such case it is a vanilla Backpack, Rocket Launcher or Super Shotgun. In terms of difficulty this WAD can really kick your ass with Project Brutality, there are plenty of ambushes that you must be aware of, especially the final fight in Cloaca can be troublesome for a player to overcome, trust me. First level is an entry level that might show you that the WAD itself is not really easy for a player, when you leave the cage do not engage in a fight with a Gatekeeper, you will simply run out of ammo and his attacks are dangerous. Basically since the beginning you are thrown against the most dangerous demons in the game, this WAD loves to throw at you multiple monsters in small rooms, including hiding them in fake walls just to attack you by a surprise. WAD ends with a small cliffhanger because no way it would end like this, if you want to survive in this WAD picking the secrets is really mandatory in my opinion, because they have lots of needed health and armor for you.
