PROJECT BRUTALITY 3.0 together with Declaring New Apocalypse by Kan3 for DOOM on the Man and a Half difficulty level, Chaotic Random spawn preset, 100% Secrets achieved (keep in mind that some secrets are ITEM exclusive), Doomguy Fanart by Kracov. Project Brutality 3.0 is an upcoming version of one of the best available mods for the classic Doom - expect a lot of fun when playing it. Please note that the Project Brutality 3.0 in its current state is still Work In Progress, so bugs are to be expected, together with crashes to desktop (same with addons, they are not 100% always compatible and actual). I've made a simple mistake with load order of the WAD and Project Brutality - while normally we load WAD and then Project Brutality, because of custom monsters added we might have some sprite mishaps, because PB overwrites WAD in this case. Anyway, Declaring New Apocalypse by Kan3 is a pretty long WAD with a lot of custom monsters added like spooky Skeletons, Blood Skulls, new variant of Imp, Scientists, Octatrons, Gatekeeper Demon and few more including the bosses. The level design is astonishing here, all of the maps are incredibly detailed and are fun to play, especially the Hell levels are outstanding together with Cemetery, first five maps are something truly remarkable in terms of aesthetics. In few places I had to use the Noclip cheat because scripts of the WAD might not be working correctly with gameplay mods like Project Brutality, in case it was not possible for me to progress through I had to use noclip. Another thing is with the secrets - some of them are triggered only when you pick up an item that is inside a WAD but does not appear in Project Brutality, in such case it is a vanilla Backpack, Rocket Launcher or Super Shotgun. In terms of difficulty this WAD can really kick your ass with Project Brutality, there are plenty of ambushes that you must be aware of, especially the final fight in Cloaca can be troublesome for a player to overcome, trust me. First level is an entry level that might show you that the WAD itself is not really easy for a player, when you leave the cage do not engage in a fight with a Gatekeeper, you will simply run out of ammo and his attacks are dangerous. Basically since the beginning you are thrown against the most dangerous demons in the game, this WAD loves to throw at you multiple monsters in small rooms, including hiding them in fake walls just to attack you by a surprise. WAD ends with a small cliffhanger because no way it would end like this, if you want to survive in this WAD picking the secrets is really mandatory in my opinion, because they have lots of needed health and armor for you.

BRUTAL DOOM Insanity Nightmares,a fork of Brutal Doom v20 that adds a lot of new monsters together with arsenal of new weapons and even items, made by killerfrosty plus Project Remap, No Pain No Gain difficulty, 100% Secrets achieved. Brutal Doom Insanity Nightmares surely has strong vibes of Insanitys Brutality (a mod last updated in 2017) while playing, even some sound effects are the same, climax and gameplay are also quite close to it. Remember that Insanitys Nightmares is a Brutal Doom v20 fork so you might encounter some performance issues such as spikes or general drops, it is advised to turn off some options or decrease resolution to avoid such issues. The No Pain No Gain difficulty is an obvious reference to the Shadow Warrior and is an Ultra-Violence counterpart from there, but because of the various bonuses dropped from the enemies it might be a little bit easier. Modification also has a quite nice inventory items added to the spawns, for example you can pick up a Medicine backpack that can restore your health up to 100 if you are injured, a nice thing when you are in serious trouble. But the real healthsavers will be your turrets that can be found mostly inside these wooden crates - there are two versions of them that you can find, a light machine gun version and a minigun, both of course have different visuals and stats. To use them you must simply come to a place where you want to put them down and press a button responsible for items usage, the turret is ready to fire at your enemies but keep in mind that these can be destroyed by demons when engaged. You can place these turrets whenever you want, when the area is clear just come next to them and pick up them back, they are truly a great item that will help you a lot while playing, lots of encounters are way easier thanks to them. The gunplay is something that you need to get over with while playing, the recoil and spread is somewhat large while using some weapons, while such bigger guns like Nailgun or Minigun are way easier to control in my opinion. As for Project Remap it is a WAD that 4 DOOM 2 remade and enlarged a lot, addins lots of new areas and rooms for you to explore, together with removing some very easy secrets or adding new secrets that are more difficult to find. There are of course way more enemies for you to eliminate, hundreds of them are waiting for you on each map, lots of them will be teleported nearby you, the WAD author surely loved to place tons of Pinkies to surround you.

Please note that the Project Brutality 3.0 in its current state is still Work In Progress, so bugs are to be expected, together with crashes to desktop (same with addons, they are not 100% always compatible and actual). Dark & Forgotten is a quite short mappack with a total of three maps, author suggests that you might need approximately 30 minutes to complete it with a blind playthrough, I think it might be done quite faster. In addition you must also acquire an OTEX texture WAD to have this mappack fully running with no missing textures, otherwise it will work but ugly with missing textures all over the place so OTEX is mandatory to have. The levels are pretty quick and not so difficult to be completed, with Project Brutality and Chaotic Random spawn preset it also depends on your luck, I had really tons of luck that I havent met ANY Flesh Wizard or Overlord at all. The first level can be troublesome because it already throws at you such monsters as Barons of Hell and even Arch-Viles but with all honesty, you can also find a BFG so early in the mappack, already in secret of first map. The map has a total of four secrets, with one of them quite difficult to be triggered - you have to shoot one nicely hidden skull switch on a wall to reveal a fake wall, there is also a one trigger where you must shoot a wall to find a Megasphere. Once in level two you find yourself in the middle of 20-30 monsters next to you, you trigger a fight and they will also come to you, another not so good aspect is a lack of space to manevuer, you are in some kind of sewers, yikes. This map is also a debut for the Cyberdemon, thankfully for you its locked on some kind of platform and cant get you, however it also has other monsters and its in such place that you might have to take it down eventually. And the last level once you escape from Underground, the shortest one too - opposite to the previous maps it has only one secret and its just near end of the map and it includes in Invicibility Sphere to finish the map easier. All of these three maps have also placed BFGs inside secrets, by the way this mappack surely loves to throw you a dozen or so monsters at you, but with BFGs in your disposal it becomes a way easier thing to do.

BRUTAL DOOM v21 GOLD release with DARK DOOM Z addon, map Do Not Turn Your Back on The City created by Trashbang for DOOM II Hell On Earth on the Ultra-Violence difficulty level, 100% Secrets Achieved. Dark DooM Z is an improved version of the Dark Doom addon, where you can customize such settings like fog, lighting or even a flashlight that comes together with this addon (but you can use any other flashlight if you wish). The map is Do Not Turn Your Back On The City (literally), it is a medium-long map with over 250+ monsters that can be spawned (add the Pain Elementals) plus author loved to place some ambushes to trick you. There is a total of 3 secrets for you to obtain, it includes a very early Plasma Rifle at the beginning of the level (YOU NEED IT), same with early Rocket Launcher and MANDATORY backpack with Soulsphere in the middle of the map. The difficulty of this map is something close to the moderate - while the beginning might be challenging because you have almost nothing and there are dozens of monsters already, it gets easier and easier with every minute. Once you beging the map, you start with window ahead of you, first you have to leave the building and eliminate a Zombie, grab some ammo and move outside to the deserted streets of this demon infested city. Your first trip will be to get the yellow key that can be seen once you enter a large building with a first and second secret present, however you will have to find a large EMPTY room with a dead Pinky inside. As expected, the empty room is of course a trap that releases a wave of alive demons at you, once you fire a weapon however, the four Revenants will also appear hidden in the pillars, thankfully they will not move away. Once you have the yellow key, you must find a way to get the red keycard located behind locked doors, this is quite a tricky and annoying part because the Archvile also lurks nearby hiding behind a fake wall. Once you have all the keys it is time to enter a final battle at the end of the level, you will enter a large desolated arena composed of demonic growth and flesh, did you notice how many monsters are still alive?
