*Hudson, Tarkhanov & Udovicki-Selb are anti-communists. I generally wouldn't recommend their work. Bater, Crawford & Parkins are also anti-communists, though their books are somewhat better, especially Crawford. Perchik & Losurdo are good communist authors and naturally Stalin & Kaganovich are good sources too. Blumenfeld is a liberal, but I recommend his work. Ikonnikov is a brezhnevite revisionist and the quality of his work varies.
