Here is something that I've been wanting to do for the past two and a half years. This is a complete rewrite of a Famicom song I originally made back in July 2018. Original title was Highway Rush. This was completed last week.

Back in July 2018, I uploaded the original version of this song under my former username of Wavetable Guy. At first, all seemed well, with some users liking the song, and I didn't think too much about it. However, about a day or two after uploading it, someone (whom I will leave unnamed) made some comments how the song used similar melodies and other stuff from the songs I made before it. Those comments were said in a non-constructive way, and since I had never received such negative comments before that point, I temporarily blocked them and dismissed the stuff they said. But, I eventually noticed that the stuff they said about Highway Rush and my earlier songs were kind of right. As a result, I began to completely despise all of my original songs up until the point at which I uploaded Highway Rush. This led to me scrapping an album I was working on, removing all of my albums I had on my Bandcamp at the time, and unlisting every original song I had uploaded on my channel in 2018. I did unblock the user after me and them had reconciled, but their comments about Highway Rush and my original songs before it left a lasting impression on my thoughts about my original songs from July 2017 to July 2018. 5 months later, I decided to do a rewrite of Highway Rush. Originally wanting to revisit it on the Famicom (the system I originally composed the song on), and sitting for about two and a half years in the back burner, I decided to instead revisit it on PC-98 OPNA. I did use some tidbits from the original composition, but otherwise, I did my best to make the feel of the revisited song make more sense with the song name.
