Song number 2 from my 2018 album "Make Some Noise!" I seem to recall wanting an excuse to use the infamous Bonzi Buddy voice in a song when I learned of its reputation, although the voices were done with Speakonia. And yes, those are the drums you'd find in the default Roland/Microsoft Wavetable Synth DLS soundfont included in every Windows computer.
All I did in this 2024 edition is just change the PCM chip from the SegaPCM to the OKI MSM6258 to make this song a true Sharp X68000 tune. Since this does make the samples sound louder, the volume of the FM instruments were increased to compensate for this change. I also altered one of the echo channels by making it into a panbrello so that its easier on your ears.
Replacing the recording of this song in my album "Make Some Noise!" will also mean needing to re-record the other songs to match up with the volume level of my current songs.

Vectrex28 asked me to cover it again on a PC Engine for an April Fool's thing they did this year, that being a ROM containing both an NES and PC Engine game, and the PCE side was where folks got rickrolled.

I basically swapped around the channels to reflect my current channel setup (drum and bass in the earliest channels, lead next, then chords or backing instruments, and finally echoes). I also redid the stereo panning in few places so that it's easier on the ears. The noise frequency was also changed to account for having access to the full frequency range of the PCE sound chip's noise generator.
Fun fact: this was one of the first songs I did after I decided to learn a bit of music theory, though the compositional style I did for this song I would end up reusing for many songs I did in 2018.

This 2024 edition of this song features the following changes: the percussion volume was lowered just a bit, the kick was altered, the song is tuned lower, and the tempo is a bit slower.

Also, I seem to recall thinking of Groot (specifically adult Groot from the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie) when I was making this song in 2018. I do have an action figure of that character, which I "OCified" by giving him a scarf. I suppose that he probably says more than just "I am Groot" and "We are Groot" as well.

Foot notes regarding a few songs:
I did do two other covers of Tim Follin's ZX Spectrum Beeper tunes, including another Agent X cover using FMComposer and a cover of Chronos on PC Engine in 2018. However, someone I looked up to at the time said some incredibly nasty stuff to me for not referencing their covers (I did use their covers for reference, but I will leave their name unmentioned). This did cause me to get disheartened. Not only did I lose the respect I once had for them, but I also deleted the modules to these covers out of absolute sadness (I was already going through doubts of my musical abilities during this time), and only my Atari 2600/7800 cover of Agent X survived because I used my FMComposer cover after being inspired by VinsCool's Atari 2600/7800 cover of Chronos (they covered the song by ear, by the way).
The module to the PCE Remake of Beginning of the Journey is lost to time because I deleted it out of frustration after listening to how some folks reacted to a comment I made about it in a live stream in 2020.
The reason why the Magical Block Carat tune is here is because there was a point in my life where I wasn't sure if I wanted to listen to songs from any eroge type game. I was once told by two different folks that I was missing out on amazing songs "with that attitude" I had in 2018-2019. I do listen to songs from a few eroge type games now. I just prefer to not see an NSFW image of an animated female character while doing so.
For version 2 of the my cover of the Jungle tune from Contra, I replaced the drum samples from the PCE port of Parodius Da with a kick and snare I've been using since 2019. In hindsight, though, I think version 1 sounds better than version 2.
The composition of Wood Man here is based on the Wily Wars version of the song. At the time I did version 1 of this cover in 2018, I prefered the Wily Wars version of tune to that of the original NES version, and I remember being told that there were many mistimed notes here. The song "Original C64 Loader Theme #2" was the first time I had actual critique towards any song I made up to that point in 2018. Because of how I was at the time, I ended up taking it personally and took a break. In fact, I couldn't enjoy listening to any songs for a while, because I focused too much on how they were structured. The GoatTracker module to this song is lost to time.
I had to do a lot of volume optimization on the RoboCop 3 song I did back in 2017. One criticism I remember from it was that the lead was too loud.
The Stone Tower Temple tune (which I actually did in 2016, one of my earliest DefleMask tunes. I often forget about some of my ealiest DefleMask tunes from 2016, hence the "2017" shown in this video) has had a bunch of notes properly timed, but I don't really consider it one of my best works.
Oh boy, where do I begin with the Daddy Mulk tune? You may recall from my YouTube Channel History video that I had gotten so much criticism towards this song in Christmas Day 2017, so I do recommend checking out that part of the video to see what the criticisms were: youtu.be/Uz3EZ3yGWJk?feature=shared&t=290 Here, I decided to change the bass by altering its waveform and changing the modulation shape to a sine wave so that it sounds more bassy.

Super Monkey Ball 2's boat menu theme was converted from Super Monkey Ball DS, where the song is used for the bowling minigame. Choco Island from Super Mario Kart was converted from the kiosk demo version of Mario Kart DS (which includes the percussive whistle that was removed, for whatever reason, in the final version of MKDS). The percussion in Sparkle Theme from the Nintendo DSi Camera app was completely improvised, and the MIDI I created for this relies on some percussion sounds found only in the GeneralUser GS soundfont (meaning that said percussion sounds will be absent if played on another soundfont). Cabbage Cavern is a remix of the forest theme from the NES game Kirby's Adventure. Silver Submarine is a remix of Kine's theme from the GB game Kirby's Dream Land 2. Spectacle Space is a remix of the final boss theme that's also from the NES game Kirby's Adventure.

Some things to point out: As far as I know, Music Maker JAM relies on pre-recorded loops for users to make music, so some of the songs might trigger YouTube's content match (I don't monetize both my channels anyway). Some songs were recorded recently, directly from my iPad while also playing them live to either recall what I wanted to do with them, make sense of what I put, or record versions of songs I never did. A few of these songs were previously uploaded to my main channel. Some song names make sense, while some I had pulled out of my head randomly (though I did change a few song names to make a bit more sense), and others were generated through Beatwave's gimmick of randomly giving your new song a name.

"El Diego" is a DefleMask demo song created by Delek, and is included with DefleMask since the release of v1.x.x in April 2021. The release included the long-awaited Neo Geo (though released as payware instead of freeware), and this demo song happened to be for the Neo Geo. The song is named after a famous Argentinian soccer/football player. In September 2021, there was a wave of covers that happened, which was likely started by Mahbod Karamoozian, DeMOSic, and MegaSparky. This was much like the FamiCommodore cover craze of 2019. The covers kept coming and going up until around February 2022.
My version I did in July 2022, well after the wave of covers. Now, of course, the original song was already done on Neo Geo, but I wanted to put my own spin on it. I used Furnace, which includes the YM2610 with the variable ADPCM channel (DefleMask lacks this ADPCM channel, making it more like Neo Geo CD). I used the variable ADPCM channel to play piano chords. My remix is slightly based on Esteban Trujillo's C64 remix (youtu.be/a-CFhb7G4Qs), which a few changes, and it loops rather than it ending.

I decided to try this chip out by porting this song I originally covered in BambooTracker (a PC-98 tracker). All FM patches I used my original version of this cover were recreated manually. I think this cover sounds a lot better with the percussion from the original song (which was an IT module). Side note: In Furnace, by default, the SSG channels are labeled "PSG," and the sample channels labeled as "ADPCM-A 1-6" (for the non-variable channels) and "ADPCM-B" (for the channel that allows a variable rate for samples). Since Furnace has the ability to add custom names to the sound channels, I decided to label the aforementioned channels based on how foobar2000's VGMPlay component and in_vgm labels them (in this case, "SSG," "ADPCM 1-6," and "Delta-T").

This cover was made back in March of 2021, using some samples I haven't used since 2018. This cover is based on the Sharp X68000 version of Genocide 2: Master of the Dark Communion. Composers were Hideyuki Shimono and Naoyuki Kimura. I'm pretty sure that if this game were ported to the SNES and released in North America back in the 90s, it probably would've had a different name due to Nintendo of America's strict guidelines on what could or could not be shown during that time period. Such guidelines caused some SNES games to be released under a different name, and some of their content (including sprites and their interactions with either an object or another sprite) were changed or removed. Sometimes, the game would be reskinned or re-themed entirely (e.g. Panel de Pon vs Tetris Attack).
(Side note: I covered this song before finding out that there was a version of Genocide 2 for the SNES, released only in Japan.)

Those of you who missed a post on my main channel, I'll be working in a job pretty soon to support myself and my family financially, so I'll be having less time to work on music.
The audio was also recorded from Dn-FamiTracker v3.0.0. This FamiTracker fork has a different emulation core for the VRC7, so you can hear how this song has been affected by that. At least one of the custom patches is a little off, but I do like how the saxophone patch sounds with this emulation core. There are discrepencies between how Dn-FamiTracker and NSFPlay emulate the VRC7, so the patches will sound different if played on the latter.

Why it took me this long to upload a minor fix? At the time I uploaded this cover on my main channel in August 2018, I was going through the thought of my musical abilities not being great (see the description of my original song Highway Rush Rewritten for more context), so I ended up taking that comment about the incorrect note personally and pretty much putting it off to the side. I've since gotten that sorted out, and decided to correct the minor mistake in this cover some weeks ago.

What makes this FamiTracker fork different from the previous ones?
The changes are only on the 2A03. There's an extra pulse width (37.5%), the third channel has three waveforms that can be chosen (sawtooth, 50% square, and a sine) in addition to the triangle wave, and there are more noise pitches. This basically transforms the 2A03 into some fantasy chip, so songs made here cannot be played back on a real NES or Famicom. It's quite interesting, though.
The info above applies to E-FT v0.0.1.3. Versions after this have put this fantasy chip as its own system separate from the 2A03, and E-FamiTracker has become a multi-system chiptune tracker (similar to DefleMask, but with a large focus on 8-bit chips).
(Update 5/21/2022: I have removed the link to E-FamiTracker. Long story short, author took down the repository after another user made a fork of it, and real life issues has kept her from releasing new versions of this tracker).

For me to tell you why this was scrapped in September 2018, I'll start by going back two months prior. In July 2018, I uploaded an original song on my main channel titled "Highway Rush." I thought it was a good song, and some users liked it. About a day or two after uploading that song, someone made some comments about how Highway Rush had similar melodies and other stuff used in many of the songs I made prior to it. For the sake of their own privacy, I won't mention the name of this individual user. They said those comments in a non-constructive way, so I ended up blocking them temporarily since 2018 me hadn't received such comments like those before. However, sometime after I blocked them, I began to notice that the stuff they said about Highway Rush and the prior songs were kind of right. So, I took their comments to heart (as 2017 and 2018 me would do) and started to dislike Highway Rush and all the songs I made before it. Since I noticed the similar melodies being heard in many of the songs in Twigs & Rocks, I decided that it was best for me to scrap it entirely (though I have since released two of the songs on their own, since they sounded pretty decent to me). It's been more than a year since I moved on from this, and I figured that I would upload what was completed. It's interesting how my style has drastically changed since scrapping this album.
At the time I was making this album, I hadn't discovered Matt Furniss's SMS works as I was only familiar with his work on the Genesis/MegaDrive. Thus, I composed the songs using a scale that allowed me to use slightly lower square bass notes, though some songs do use the periodic noise pulse. The system I chose for this album is the Sega Game Gear. The idea for this album was an imaginary game I had in my head, just like Wavetable Guy's 1st Soundtrack. This time, there was a story I imagined for this one. It revolved around two brothers; one named Twigs and the other named Rocks. Twigs is tall and lean, and solves things by logic with a laid back personality. Rocks is buff and muscular, and tends confront things head on with passionate fury. The story for this imaginary game was that Twigs and Rocks set out to find their parents, having been left in foster care since they were little, encountering many dangers in their journey.
