When directly asked about it, Purdy responded, "Absolutely. Yes, yes, yes. There is an ever-changing environment of the business and people who are making decisions. It's the cliché story, but be sure we are having conversations." While this isn't a full confirmation yet, it's genuinely promising to hear real conversations are happening behind the scenes. He was also asked whether the characters would be aged up for a potential revival, and he confirmed they'd likely stay close to their original ages, saying, "Would they be much older? Probably not. I think a year or two older."
This comes amid a lot of ongoing shifts at Paramount following Skydance Media's 2025 merger, which has created some uncertainty around the studio's future output overall, so a lot could still change before anything is officially greenlit.
