Palazzo Medici Riccardi presents the exhibition ‘Heroes’, a collection of photographs by Masaiyoshi Sukita of the British music legend, David Bowie.
Florence pays homage to the iconic rock artist in this exhibition; its 60 photographies portray 40 years of friendship and artistic collaboration between the Thin White Duke and Sukita, who first met in 1972. 3 years after David Bowie's death, Sukita commemorates his lifelong friend by sharing images from his personal archives at Palazzo Medici Riccardi, one of the most beautiful Medici's palaces in Florence.
The exhibition features Ziggy Stardust in a series of color shots, Bowie off the grid during a trip to Japan, as long as a black&white headshots that brought to the world the cover of its 12th studio album, 'Heroes'. These are more than photos of Bowie, they are memories of a legend who lives on. Catch the exhibition before it ends on June 28th!
