LdM Fashion Students showcase their work at Visions, an exhibition at the LdM Gallery.
Silk printed scarves, coats, knitted garments and dresses reflect the origins and backgrounds of the LdM Fashion Students that are exhibiting as part of Visions at the LdM Gallery.
Techniques that they have learnt throughout their Fashion/Apparel Design course are evident through the variety of materials present in the works. Cassandra Miller has worked with sustainable animal hide from her native country, America, whereas other designers have channelled the city of Florence through digital repeat printing of architectural motifs found on the city's buildings.
The course offered a chance not only to hone and practise challenging techniques but also to understand the professional process of the fashion industry, going from concept to design to final garment.
