At the LaPorte indiana hamfest yesterday I bought a VL1180 Heathkit 2 meter amplifier this amplifier was designed to be used with a 10 watt 2 meter rig like the Heathkit Hw2036A it boosts the 10 watts output up to around 80 watts . These are a good amplifier using the Motorola MRF247 transistor .The circuit board is high grade G10 board all in all a nice 2 meter amplifier to increase the range of low power tranceivers like the HW2036A Heathkit . Today is February 24 2019 it is snowing outside and the wind is gusting over 60 miles per hour the weather man on TV says
don't go out there unless you have to its nasty so this is a great day to stay inside and do something HAM RADIO a great hobby .
