Note! I changed the date on my water heater water alarm to 4/27/2023 the date on there was 4/27/03 which was wrong it was confusing so I corrected it .... Hearing a BEEP in my basement workshop for a long time I searched for the beep thinking it was a smoke detector I have one in the workshop ceiling and put a new battery in the smoke detector but the beeping continued . After doing that I would look for the beeping device when I came down to work in the workshop a couple times a week . Each time I came down I looked and looked Finally today on the Internet I read where someone else had the same problem and he eventually found the beeping device to be a water sensing alarm in a small plastic box he had fastened to the bottom of his water heater .well I went over to my water heater and found a water alarm device I had installed dated 2021 I changed the 9 volt battery and the beeping stopped Whooopie ! So I am posting this little video in the hopes it will save someone else from doing a LOT of searching and moving things around and wasting time looking for what is beeping . One important thing I learned is it is not always a smoke detector beeping AND I also learned those beeps ECHO all over and may sound like it is something in the ceiling when it is actually down on the floor .
