Getting ready to operate CW (MORSE CODE ) during New Years Eve 2020
I was checking out the vintage ( old ) equipment that I will be using .
A new addition is the QF-1 Heathkit Q multiplier during the testing of this I
made this video to show how well the QF-1 works and the peculiarities of the QF-1 and the Heathkit AR-3 receiver . The AR-3 was the first Heathkit I assembled in 1957 I was 15 years old at the time, this is not the AR-3 assembled when I was 15 but is another one purchased a couple of years ago that needed repair and some TLC . The station is now complete and ready for SKN night on New Years EVE when the Hams turn on their old radios and have fun chatting with them using Morse code with old telegraph keys a real fun event . 73 BOB
