Harvey Wells TBS50C transmitter a fine example of a 1950's tube type transmitter that works great on AM phone or CW .It has an 807 final with a 6AQ5 driver ,6AQ5 oscillator and Push pull 6L6 modulator tubes driven by a carbon microphone .This model does not have a microphone amplifier the modulators are driven directly by the carbon microphone via a matching transformer. It has a unique carbon microphone sound quality on the air which old timers recognize . The TBS50C operates on all bands from 80 to 2 meters . The 807 final is really straining on 2 meters and the transmitter only puts out about 2 watts on 2 meters I have never used it on 2 meters except on a dummy load . A very nice old "boat anchor " tube transmitter fun to restore and fun to operate.
