The solvent in most permanent marking pens is ordinary alcohol .
Alcohol can be used to rejuvenate these pens and is quite easy to do the pens have lots of ink pigment in them what dries out is the alcohol so replacing the alcohol that has evaporated rejuvenates the pen . This video shows how to do that . Bob
