A cover of "Heated Mind" from the video game Trails Of Cold Steel II.
As said in all my previous Trails covers, I am completely addicted to this series with it's amazing story and fantastic music! I seriously can't recommend these games enough. There are a ton of songs I want to cover from this series, so there will definitely be more to come, and let me know if there's any you want to hear!
This is definitely one of my favourite tracks from the second Cold Steel game! Without spoiling, the ending of Cold Steel 1 doesn't exactly happiest of endings, and hearing this tune as the first battle theme of the next game was just perfect! A general high energy rock song as expected but with somewhat melancholic melodies, it just worked so well and helped bring out the emotions even more!
For the arrangement, I kept things relatively simple. The original has a very standard verse/pre chorus/chorus structure, so I simply repeated it, added solos and came up with variations. And considering how proggy and more complex the previous covers have been, I decided to keep this one more simple, and let loose on the guitar solos instead!
