There really have been a lot of cool Harry Potter custom Maps but also Harry Potter Mods coming out recently and we are actually getting some stuff that I would have never thought to be possible inside Harry Potter 2 (PC)! But thanks to the amazing skill of the new generation of custom modders and also the new modding engine that came out a couple of years ago we can now make the impossible happen on the regular and a Level Randomizer Mod is certainly one of those "impossible" mods. Big shoutouts to HPLabs for once again making an amazing mod and spending a lot of time and effort on making this concept work, I really loved it I gotta say!
As the title already gives away, the idea is to not just play through the game the normal way and in the normal order of level but instead we get thrown into a random level of the game and once we have completed that level the mod chooses another for us to be thrown into and so on and so on. The goal is to beat level until you randomly find the one playing the final cutscene and finish the game and the run like that. What sounds pretty impossible to do with RNG was actually balanced incredibly well by Labs with some tweaks to the RNG and additional rules I will showcase during the video and ended up making the runs short and fun overall!
What a good mod once again and super super fun to play, it gives it some extra excitement not knowing which level is next and what to expect. Plus some extra details to discover randomly were the cherry on top for this experience, I really think Labs has outdone himself with all the thought and planning that went into it. Now we can finally finish the game by complete random chance, always a great way to do speedruns to avoid any kind of pressure if you ask me...
