Did you ever walk through the open world castle of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (PC) thinking to yourself "it would be very interesting to actually fly through this on a broomstick!"? Well even if you didn't, that is exactly what this mod accomplishes! Instead of being normal Harry walking on foot we spawn in already on the broomstick. The coolest part for me was the fact that it actually gave us control of the broomstick in midair now so we can basically fly whereever we want, a luxury that you don't even get during actual Quidditch mathes in the base game where it's just an autoscroller.
Obviously this mod is sort of a work in progress kind of thing so we only had three different levels to play since the flying just wasn't implemented or optimized for the rest of the castle. And it is surprisingly difficult to make sure you can beat some of the level on a broomstick only since we obviously aren't able to cast on top of it to clear the path and open doors that are in our way. Really awesome how Labs optimized it though so it was possible for us to actually fly through those level as a challenge without having to worry about getting stuck anywhere!
The highlight for me was honestly the grounds map though, seeing the entrance of Hogwarts from high up on a broom was honestly very impressive and on top of that I really felt like Hedwig being able to fly around freely from the castle to Herbology, to Hagrid's Hut and back! Just an amazing feeling of freedom and being able to discover this castle more (even though the out of bounds areas are incredibly hideous in this game since the devs didn't have the need to properly model them haha). Overall just a super cool mod and it's amazing how stuff like this is possible nowadays, hope you are going to enjoy watching my discovery of this!
