A Historic Chapter Comes Down in Harrisburg, PA
Once a cornerstone of Pennsylvania’s mental health system, the Harrisburg State Hospital served the community for over 150 years before closing its doors in 2006. Its grand architecture and sprawling grounds were a defining presence in the region.
Now, that chapter is coming to a close.
We had the opportunity to film the ongoing demolition of the site, capturing the impressive work being done by FR Beinke Wrecking as they carefully dismantle this historic property. The video showcases the scale, precision, and effort involved in bringing down a piece of Pennsylvania history.
