All shots were made with the new SLR Magic 8mm lens on the Inspire 2. Filmed in 4K ProRes in DLOG with an ND .6 filter. The lens is an ultra wide angle non-fisheye micro four thirds lens and is perfect for aerial cinematography. The only drawbacks are manual focus and manual aperture. In my experience one can set the focus to infinity on the ground and tighten the knob to lock it in and it held throughout my tests. The aperture can be adjusted based on experience with lighting and by looking at your monitors exposure values. I set my camera X5S camera to manual and made exposure changes on the go by changing the shutter speed. The closer you get to F4 the softer it gets. Most shots were at F8 and above. I was not able to test still shots because the RAW DNG shots came out distorted in Lightroom since the camera profile was not available at the time of shooting. If you're looking for an ultra wide angle lens and are willing to have manual focus and aperture this is a really cool lens with some really cool sun flares in those sunrise and sunset shots.
