Got home to some happy mail from Lion Brand Yarn a couple days ago. Made a fresh cup of coffee, checked and sorted it all, and got photos so I can add the yarn to the website for purchase as well, but most of this yarny goodness went over to my new Yarn Crafts and Coffee shop in America's Antique Mall Melbourne, Florida yesterday 🎉
Got some new to me yarns to test out, like the Local Grown Cotton 😍 and Botanic, plus some Hue and Me to redo some of my blanket designs.

How to crochet a fun ripple stitch crochet cosmetic bag perfect for the essentials while running errands or during a night out on the town, or if youre like me, holding your crochet supplies!
My Remi series features fun ripple patterns worked mainly in Double Crochet stitches – there are some other stitches that help form the shape for the ripple pattern.

Youll need about 140 Yards of Worsted Weight Cotton - I used WeCrochet Dishie; 45 Yards of Mushroom, 35 Yards of Lilac Mist and 60 Yards of Swan. Youll also need a H8/5mm crochet hook, and tapestry needle.
Optional supplies: Jewelry pliers may be helpful when weaving in ends, fabric for Lining & Zipper (I used a pre-made bag that I got at Hobby Lobby and stuck inside and then sewed in place - it measured 9 wide by 6 tall) or Sewing Needle & Thread or Sewing Machine & Thread (for lining).

I like cotton because its more durable, but feel free to use your favorite worsted weight yarn for bags! If using a yarn like Red Heart’s Super Saver, Caron’s One Pound, or Bernat’s Super Value, youll probably need to go up to an I9/5.5mm crochet hook as cotton is more relaxed then these.
Weaving in ends of a tough yarn, like cotton yarn, can be hard on the fingers. Sore thumbs and frustration can be a thing of the past by simply using jewelry pliers to [carefully] help pull the tapestry needle through the work.
Gauge, Round 2 (folded) In Pattern: 14 HDC = 3 3/4 Wide by 1 Tall
Gauge is essential if youre using a similar lining to mine, but not if you are making your own or not lining.
