According to The Sun and emerging reports: A person who was not on the hantavirus-hit cruise ship has reportedly contracted the virus after sharing a flight with an infected passenger.
This is part of the ongoing outbreak on the MV Hondius (Andes strain hantavirus – one of the few that can spread person-to-person in rare/close contact cases). At least 3 deaths confirmed so far, with evacuations underway.
