You don't have to worry about the sorry state of the gaming industry laying off people every couple of days when we have absolutely dumb fanboys coming in to defend it.
// You had 13 years to save $100! Get over it!
Dude, we still have a couple months to save $100 for GTA VI. Heck, we could've paid the whole thing in installments, but that's not the point. The point is this industry is screwed. There's no sense of competition. It's not company against another company competing on who makes the better game. It's companies squeezing us and competing on who can squeeze the most from their consumers.
// Please be honest here. Is there any video game you look forward to playing more than GTA VI?
Yes. Persona 6 is coming out. Heck, Persona 4 Revival is about to be here. GTA is and always has been vanilla crime sandbox. It's a template that a lot of other games build upon. It's not going to offer anything special. I don't think the gameplay would change significantly from GTA V, or at least I don't think it would change so much that I'll go out of my way to buy a new console just to play it.
// Rockstar spent well over $1B and more than a decade bringing you this game.
I don't care. I want to see the gameplay, and I'm not seeing anything yet.
// Rockstar isn't a charity.
Yes. That's why I won't be spending money on it, and I can't wait for the YouTube playthroughs to catch me up to speed with the plot and story in the meantime.
// We got 100s of games to play now through subscription models. Free games coming to us on a monthly basis. Y'all still hate on everything.
Uh, no. We don't hate on everything. We just don't like the price of this specific digital-only game.
