Testing the tuning range of a Gretsch "Swamp Dawg" 14 x 8" mahogany Full Range snare drum with a coated Evans G1 batter and an Evans Hazy 300 resonant head. Tuned from low to high, from (around) a 3E to a 3A#- fundamental note, tested using a tune-bot.
The 42 snare wires were tensioned loosely to let the snare ring.
Switch to HD for best audio quality. The resonant head was tuned the same, only the batter head was tuned from low to high. No processing applied.
