More than 200 feet beneath the desert near Peach Springs lies a vast dry cavern with a history unlike any other. From its accidental discovery by Walter Peck in 1927 to its days as a Cold War fallout shelter stocked for the Cuban Missile Crisis, Grand Canyon Caverns has spent nearly a century fascinating travelers along the Mother Road.
