It's been a few months but finally at last the first of these for 2025 is here. And this is a particularly big one as well. As this is the 48th installment of my half-hour speed wars series, and as each race is 30 minutes long, this officially marks having completed 24 hours of racing here over the years since starting this series in May 2022. Now that, atleast for the time being Polyphony is back into a pattern of putting out monthly content updates again, I finally have enough new cars to finally do this. With the release of today's 1.56 update adding 3 new cars. The 2003 BMW Z4, 1988 Peugeot 205 GTI, and the truly wonky 1962 Mercedes-Benz Unimog Type 411. Along with the addition of engine swaps for 6 more cars, 5 of which I own and are featured here. Last month's 1.55 update added 4 cars, 2 of which are again featured here. The 1987 Honda Civic SI, and the highlight of that update and maybe one of the coolest cars ever added to GT7, the F3500-A. Inspired off the F1 cars from the early 90s. Quite reminiscent of the F094/S from back in GT3, I even have the livery on it to match. Also added engine swaps for atleast 5 more cars, atleast amongst the ones I have anyway. But I also went ahead in the meantime & bought the Bugatti VGT Gr.1 and Genesis X Gr.3 race cars. Did livery overhauls for 2 more cars, and lastly the car I'm driving has had an engine swap from several content updates ago now. A different, much more responsive engine than the previous swap I made on it before. Just simply haven't found the appropriate time to use it until now, and that completes the lineup. This is another one of those races that starts off cloudy and clears up as it gets closer to the end.
