Been a little while since my last upload, which unfortunately has been a bit of a trend for the most part over the last few months. Back in June I started work on several big projects which is why that is. I'm happy to say that one of them is more than halfway done. In the meantime I got bored last night and decided to create my own fun on GT7 in the form of another custom race. The Infield B layout of Blue Moon Bay Speedway is one of my most favorite tracks on this game. It's a shame that it's so overlooked on here, both by the community and Polyphony themselves as there's not a single career event that takes place here. The Infield A and main oval layouts get all the attention while this one just flies under the radar. Sadly the only attention I think this layout has ever gotten from Polyphony was rare appearances in sport mode either as a daily race or time trial event. I was never a fan of the daily races as online gaming as a whole is just too toxic to deal with now, hence why I haven't done a single online related video on any game involving people I don't know in over 4 years now, although GTA 6 might change that soon. Although I really didn't want to, I had to do atleast 50 daily races for the last PSN trophy I needed to get the platinum. I remember it was this layout of this track where I had my most dominant win at in sport mode & one of the few races I actually enjoyed doing. The Infield B layout with the backstretch portion of the track cutting right across the infield lake is an underrated sight difficult to not get distracted by. The main oval layout takes inspiration from the real life Pocono Raceway, except turns 1 and 2 here are quite steeply banked. So I set up an endurance race with group 3 cars and tried to get the race length as close to an hour as possible. Probably could have got away with adding a few more laps, but I wanted the total number of laps ending in a 0 or 5. Tire wear & fuel consumption was on x4, so atleast 2 pit stops were necessary, 3 for an unlucky few. And Balance of Performance was of course on to make everything close. This reminds me of the fun I had doing the torrential rain races in these cars back in 2023-2024. It's a shame that years later no new tracks that support rain weather have still been added.
