Last race at Bristol was probably the most intense finish not just all season, but maybe of my entire life. My heart was racing at the end trying to hold off the ever growing pack behind me to win, as my tires were shredding to the point of having nearly zero grip even on the straightaways. I was going so slow in the corners just to hold it towards the bottom lane to block the AI's with my lap times falling off all the way into the 18s. In the end I crossed the line the same way I did in the spring race, sideways into the inside wall. But atleast I won it this time where the spring race was my worst finish all season. That's the hardest, yet most carefully, I think I've ever had to race for a win. Now our 16th of the season and our 9th in a row, tying my win streak in my career mode playthrough, something I never thought I was gonna be able to do just a few months ago. So now like in my career mode playthrough, the topic comes up once again. If we win this next race that'll be 10 straight, tying us with Richard Petty for most consecutive wins. Which he accomplished during his ridiculous 1967 season, the same season he also set the record for most wins in a single season at 27. We never could accomplish 10 in a row in career mode, so I have another shot here. Unfortunately the next track we're going to where I have to try to make this happen is Atlanta. The worst track in the entire game regarding tire wear. Where it only takes 1-2 laps before grip starts falling off dramatically. I've come prepared with a good setup to make this easier, but nothing's guaranteed here. The only thing you can reasonably expect at this place is the unexpected. After our championship rival's 16th place finish at Bristol, we moved up to a 328 point lead over Edwards in the Sprint Cup standings. So we can afford a bad race if it happens, but with 10 in a row on the line, I'm gonna fight hard to win once more & make it happen this time.
