Gowan's "Criminal Mind" won Best Video of 1985 at Canada's Junp Awards, also nominated in 5 other categories. Larry Gowan talks with host Stu Jeffries in 1987 for GOOD ROCKIN' TONITE. He is a Scottish-born Canadian musician, having a string of hits till 1997, and in 1999 he replaced Dennis De Young as the lead vocalist for the American progressive rock band Styx (Mr Roboto, Babe, Show Me the Way). Gowan was joined by Jon Anderson, lead vocalist of the British group Yes, for the hit Moonlight Desires, filmed in Tulum, Mexico. GRT, Canada's first video show, took pride from 1983 till 1993 in promoting Canadian artists to its Canadian audiences, and in this special Gowan was the featured guest.
