R & R legends Bill Haley, Everly Bros, Fats Domino, Pat Boone, Little Richard, the Platters, 5th Dimension make brief comments on the CBC Vancouver late 1960s TV series LET'S GO. Originally titled Bill Haley & the Comets' "We're Gonna Rock Around the Clock Tonight," the song was #1 in the US & UK . It took off in 1955 when used over the opening credits of the film "Blackboard Jungle." Fans of Don & Phil may not know that in 1966 they recorded the LP "Two Yanks in England" with the Hollies, and in 1970 they hosted summer replacement TV series "Johnny Cash presents the Everly Bros." Antoine Domino jr was named Fats because of renowned pianist Fats Waller. In 1955 Elvis Presley was opening act on a Cleveland show starring Pat Boone. Richard Wayne Penniman was nicknamed Lil' Richard by family because he was short & skinny. Originally the Hi-Fi's, 5th Dimension were Billy Davis jr, Florence LaRue, Marilyn McCoo, Ron Townson and Lamonte McLemore. McCoo & Davis married in 1969. Ed Sullivan dedicated the whole Feb 21 1971 show to the group's 5th Anniversary.
