If you listened to pop music in 1957/58 you definitely will recognize these two major million selling hits by Jimmie Rodgers, whose very first recording Honeycomb topped the North American charts followed by Oh-Oh, I'm Falling in Love Again. But on December 1 1967 his successful career came to a halt after he suffered traumatic head injuries when the car he was driving was stopped by an off duty police officer for erratic driving. Rodgers claimed that the officer and two others beat him unconscious, placed him in his car and left him alone where he was found by a worried friend. The verdict was inconclusive.
