Gov. Ned Lamont has secured the Democratic candidacy for another term as governor, according to the Associated Press.

Democratic electors gave Lamont a qualified thumbs-up to another four years in office.

Lamont defeated Josh Elliott, the 10-year state representative from Hamden, in a low-turnout summer primary that culminated a 12-week sprint from the Democratic State Convention.
