A series of Precision Crew levels by ShyGuy64 in his alt account. Currently unfinished but here's the first 3 levels. Yes, I'm uploading more than one video this week. But why am I uploading specifically this one now? Uh, you'll learn the reason soon.
The Liftoff (0:00)
Short and sweet start to the series. The jump over the boos at the end is pretty tough, I often didn't have enough momentum to get to the other side of the piranhas safely, but besides that, the level was pretty fun and not too hard.
Mesopheric Freeze (0:35)
Already getting way harder from the second level in the series, not because of the ice, but just in general all the jumps are way tighter. But they were very satisfying when I eventually pulled them off. I had like 3 deaths at the end. The level is a lot harder than it seems. Playing all these levels without music was sad, specially this one because SMB3 snow night has my favorite theme.
Dark Flare (1:46)
I don't know if this is easier or harder than the second one. It took me longer, but it was mostly because of the final jump. That doesn't mean the rest of the level is free, but I personally found the last jump exponentially harder than every other trick, because the gap is offscreen when you get to it.
Basically had to guess when to stop holding jump or if you're smarter than me, by practicing it so that you'll have the muscle memory required for it. Another reason why this took so long might be that the practice doors take so long to get to, they require a pipe transition and a key door entry, which takes about 10 seconds every attempt, so recreating this is definitely a good idea, I wish I tried that. Also out of these 3 levels this is the only one I recorded with my 60fps capture card, the other 2 were uploaded before I got it.

![Poké-Precision (#172-#189) by Gold and Silver [MARIO MAKER 1]
Sub 10 minutes poké-precision video! The amount of time I spent going for speed strats in some of these levels was worth it in the end, cause it allowed to make this a much shorter video. (Plus a lot of editing and cuts through loading times.) After rewatching I realized a few things could have been way faster, but Im still glad with sub 10 for one of these. And I dont recommend using any of these speed strats because a few of them are way too hard.
So the first 4 levels in this video are some of the easiest Poké-Precision levels so far (as long as you dont play them like I do in this video). One of them even has a dev exit if you can even call it that. It requires waiting for 140 seconds at the beginning for a free key, so its not any better than the intended strat. I could never imagine anyone wanting to use it... but someone actually did, so... okay. :p
Were putting a stronger emphasis into theming the gen 2 levels and trying to make them feel unique in some way. One example of a cool themed level is Jumpluff which requires to use a spring to get up to most of the letters. Also hopefully the difficulty of these levels is lower than the gen 1 levels, with some exceptions like evolutions or counterparts of pokémon who had a hard level in gen 1.
And for the videos I like to find speed strats that most players wouldnt think of trying. Most players would assume the jump over the U in Pichu is impossible, and would go for the boot. In Natu you need to complete the U by hitting the hidden blocks and then get up the T and on top of the blocks you hit to reach the coin, but I instead bypassed them with a precise angled jump next to the spikes. Among other things were done to first cycle certain jumps involving timing based moving objects in levels like Togetic, Marill, Azumarill, Sudowoodo, Politoed, etc.
At the time that Im writing this we have uploaded levels up to #213. Which means were already more than 60% done with gen 2. This is going way faster than planned because of SMM2s announcement. Were still taking our time making the levels, but we kinda have a deadline now, and it would be nice to complete gen 2 a month or two before SMM2 comes out. At least we dont need to worry about stars, we both have around 360+ and just have to get to 500 for the 50 slots we need. We will probably get there during March.
One final thing I should say is that we wont be doing gen 3 even though its my favorite gen. And we wont reupload gens 1 or 2 in SMM2. Also around the time when only 120 Poké-Precision levels were up, Fritzef made an Ampharos level, not knowing we would do gen 2. His version is a lot harder than the one we have. Heres Katzs video of it: https://youtu.be/miYQ64h2BXY

![Sad Satan by Anemia [MARIO MAKER 2]
3 Precision Crew levels by Anemia.
Isolated Incidents (0:00)
There were like 3 versions of this level and this is hopefully the final one. The version prior had cheese and the one before that I have no idea, I just know it was reuploaded.
3D Glasses (0:52)
I dont like the first saw jump, not sure why. This level felt harder than the previous one for me, but maybe thats because I didnt look for better visual cues while practicing. Anyway, the idea of having 4 mini screens in one is cool, though looking back it seems way too cluttered, and I wish there was there werent so many door transitions.
Sad Satan (2:27)
Looks intimidating, but at least I dont have to hear SMB1 castle music. But even without that annoying music I was pretty impatient the day I played this level and opted to use pause buffering for the first jump. I was almost expecting this level to be reuploaded too, so I wanted to be done with it as soon as possible. I mean, Isolated Incidents was reuploaded at least twice and Sad Satan was uploaded only 2 days after that, maybe if it had been a week later I wouldnt have thought about it. Anyway, I had 3 deaths at the last jump so I decided to learn to pause buffer for it as well, and then I never died to it again. After beating the level I entered the level once more to see how long it would take me to do the first jump without pause buffering and a few attempts later I got to the end again, so that makes my clear video look really lame retrospectively.

![99% Impossible by 7Z [MARIO MAKER 1]
My final SMM1 level. This video was supposed to be uploaded on March 31st and was going to post a different video today, but I was dumb and accidentally deleted the file that had my clear of this, and I didnt notice until it was too late. So I had to beat the level again. Oh well, at least this didnt happen for Red, Blue, Green or Giovanni battle.
Anyway, this is the end of an era. Even after SMM2 came out I always took it for granted that we could continue uploading levels in SMM1. The thought that that feature would be removed barely crossed my mind until Nintendo announced that it would happen, and suddenly it became the only thing I was thinking about for a few months. So I kept revisiting SMM1 until I felt satisfied and knew for sure that I had nothing left to upload in the game. I ended up with 40 levels on Z7, my main account, 10 levels on ZzZzZzZ, my first alt account and 50 levels on 7Z, my second alt account. That makes a nice round total of 100 levels if we dont count my poké-precision accounts, which I dont, because for them its not immediately obvious that theyre my alt accounts like with these. Yes, this means I could have fit everything in the same account, but I didnt want to. As for why I chose this to be my final level, thats be because the video where I play 5 levels with the same title was one of my first videos to get popular, so it all comes full circle. And while I always thought a title like this was dumb and cringe, I guess its time for me to embrace that cringe now.
As I mentioned earlier I had to beat this twice, the first time I got super lucky, I didnt fail the last note block spin jump or the midair too many times, and when I did it for the first time I also beat the level. When I realized my file of that was gone I knew it wasnt going to be that easy, and I was right. The second time I cleared this it wasnt until I failed the ending in pretty much every possible way. I died many times at the note block spin jump because reaching the max height is super awkward, at the controlled shell jumps after the door, at the midair, at the trump jump after it, and at the burners. Im surprised I didnt die at the spikes on the axe, on my first clear I actually forgot those spikes were there, because they were a last minute change, I was able to react just in time to jump and avoid them, but I didnt even think of crouching there, which is super risky, and I still got it somehow. So maybe deleting my video of that first clear was the worlds way of telling me I didnt deserve to beat it that quick. I dont know. :p
Fortunately the ability to play levels is still around, if it wasnt, I think I would have played nothing but SMM1 the past 4 months, because there are some levels that Id like to go back and beat. And I might upload my clear of at least one, but it wont be for a while. Just hope they wont announce that well be unable to play levels by the end of 2021. I like to think that they removed the ability to upload levels on march 31st just so I wouldnt upload The Best 1-2 Remake on april fools this year, speaking of, I wonder if people still believe my april fools level from last year was SMM2.

![Bootokan no Brave by Bootdoko [MARIO MAKER 1]
Cool boot level by Budoko. I thought it was time to give this level a clear without cheese, so here it is. Most jumps are harder than they seem, and I had a bit of trouble making the blue spike tops go down sometimes, so I was going to try to time it instead of just moving around, but it ended up not being necessary. I had a lot of deaths at the tight edge jump at 1:35 because I kept doing it way too early. And I had one nai because I ditched the boot too far from the spring so it didnt bounce. No deaths at the thwomps though.

![Night Terrors by J.Z.G. [MARIO MAKER 2]
7 Precision Crew levels. I wanted to include some of J.Z.G.s levels in my precision compilations, but for some reason I always forgot to do it. So heres some of them.
Claustrophobia (0:00)
Cool short ice level. It was pretty fun to beat while ducking the entire time, almost, apparently I unducked in the air unintentionally in this attempt.
ANXIETY (0:27)
The coins are in very awkward places so the level doesnt flow very well, but it was not bad. And Im glad its not SMB1, so I didnt have to hear the awful SMB1 castle music.
Precision Progression (1:32)
Simple and fun.
Gravitational Grounds (2:38)
We need more low gravity precision levels like this one. But I wish it was a bit longer.
Abandoned Asylum (3:14)
The third jump destroyed me for some reason, even though Im usually very consistent at that trick, so that was a bit annoying. But cool one screen level anyway.
ShyGuy64s Malevolent Mansion (4:00)
I died a lot to the boo rings because I was too impatient and didnt want to wait for them sometimes. But the rest of the level is pretty cool.
Night Terrors (5:12)
I saw screenshots of the rooms before playing but I decided not to remake them in editor cause it didnt seem like I needed to practice. But he didnt post a picture of the ending so I wasnt ready for it, I was still able to react just in time to jump and avoid the spikes on the ground but I didnt see the piranha at the goal so I didnt know I had to duck. Well, eventually I reached the ending again and beat it because its free if you know its coming.

![Among the Jank and File (FF2) by Finch [MARIO MAKER 1]
Where is RO4? Wait! Thats right, wait. I actually already beat RO4 earlier this week, but since its Finchs hardest level, I feel like it would be more fitting if its the last one to get its clear video. In this case FF2 stands for Finchs Frolic 2. Its the sequel to his Jank Hill level. And despite the name, I dont consider this jank at all. Its more awkward and strange for a kaizo level. But thats fine. I had one nai, if you can even consider it one, and I show it at the beginning of the video. Its really just me being dumb as usual though. :p

![Madness Opus by Anemia [MARIO MAKER 2]
3 Precision Crew levels, including Nightmare House, a level people have been waiting over a year for me to beat. Here it is, finally.
At the Bottom (0:00)
Not much to say about this one, but it was fun.
Nightmare House (0:55)
I know this was made only a month ago, and people have been waiting a year to see a Nightmare House clear from me, so the timeline doesnt match up. But this level is called Nightmare House so it counts. The level was fine, but Im not sure why people waited a year to see this.
Madness Opus (2:22)
When Anemia uploaded this he said it was his new hardest level, but I was streaming at the time so I didnt get to try it until several hours later. Once I became able to play it, obviously the first thing I did was remake the level in editor so I could practice it. Honestly I thought the difficulty difference between this and Sad Satan would be much bigger, yeah, it was still harder than it, just not by that much. But he did say he had to nerf it, so I guess it makes sense. I had some really good attempts early on in the grind, I was getting to the second on/off switch very often, so I thought I would be done soon, but then there was a moment where I just couldnt get the jump between the piranhas right before the first door. I was stuck there for a while, even though thats not even the hardest jump. Eventually I rebuilt my consistency on it, and started getting good runs again. I beat the level shortly after that with 4 prenais, but no nais fortunately.

A precision level by apparently made by JCs brother.
I saw this level around the time when it was uploaded and I decided to wait for the clear video, because no editor... Im still waiting, but heres mine. The level is not as hard as the clear rate suggests, its just not something one should play blind. Thankfully 1Frame put up a clear video of it on twitter. So when I was randomly looking at low clear rates I saw this level again, and I finally checked it out. I decided not to watch 1Frames video unless I got stuck, and after a lot of dying at the autoscrolling section, I became impatient and just watched his video. And this level is suddenly free after watching a clear video. The next time I got to the autoscrolling section I beat the level. Not much else to say, just that Id like to see more clears on this. I imagine most experienced precision players can beat this very easily. Theres only a few hard jumps in the first section.

2 precision levels.
It Doesnt Speak to Me #Race (0:00)
The first precision race level, and the only time I participated, I even got first place, probably by luck. Fun level though, and the word precision at the end was a nice surprise. This level reminded me a little bit about my Precision Wars 2 level.
It Doesnt Speak to U #Race
This one was pretty short but it had a few hard jumps. And this one reminded me of my Precision Wars 1 level.

A 3D World speedrun level.
It was hard to figure out blind, specially some parts in the subworld like at 0:58, I dont even think I did that right, but at least it worked. I had 2 deaths at the end because I didnt understand it. I wonder what the description of the level says. We need a bookmark site, with it Id be able to just copy the level description to a translator, it would be so convenient.
As for the update this game got a few days ago, nothing of interest was added in my opinion, I guess its nice that I can see how many first clears and world records I have, but I doubt Ill check very often. I just want to be able to use editor for downloaded levels, Ive probably said it a million times by now, but as long as that doesnt happen I will continue to like SMM1 more.
