Glitching Kratos' Soul.

If you want to learn all the glitches, skips and glitch-techniques that my colleagues and I have found in this game. You can check-out our GoWIII Glitch FAQ: gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps3/943928-god-of-war-iii/faqs/59988

0:01 Skipping Styx Souls and keeping RoS. The Death Jump has to be done at the exact angle that you see here.

2:08 Athena, Pandora and a Civilian in T-pose.

2:20 I set-up a glitch that makes Kratos look like an invisible pole of bubbles. There are two ways of doing it:

Method 1: checkpoint Kratos while he's swimming regularly, restart and spam jump as the game is restarting. This creates a minor break-out which will then let you give swimming dash inputs to Kratos while he's in weakened swimming.

Method 2: touch death collision while swimming regularly (non T-Pose) Kratos will then revert to weakened swimming.

If you then swim-dash a certain number of times, the game will do different things:

Phase 1: Dashing hard 30 times makes Kratos become a vertical pole of bubbles. If Kratos gets hit while in this state he'll bleed a gigantic wall of blood, this part isn't required for any of these glitches, just looks bizarre.

Phase 2: Dashing an additional 10-15 times VERY LIGHTLY - will make large sections of the game to become completely black, including Kratos himself. If you then end Kratos' bubble-state by activating a grapple point, and then end swimming glitch, Kratos will transform into "Nega-Kratos" complete with "Nega-blades".

Only Nega-blade finishers which end in fire will do any damage to enemies, otherwise it's like the blades aren't there at all.

Phase 3 (Phase 2 is not a prerequisite): Dashing hard an additional 5-7 times will make the game become laggy with a decalibrated camera. And most interestingly, the game will display a functional R1 prompt which will let you save the game even if you're far away from the save prompt (a "glitched save" which you can later load-and-quit in order to set-up the "non-Kratos" glitch).

I tried Phase III at various areas and always got the same result, the R1 prompt appears while you are far away from the save point. I also tried this at the 3 Judges and got the same result.

The game seems unplayable at this point (to date), but if you then quit to the main menu Kratos is absent, as is his default costume (although it's kind of a misnomer, I refer to him in my mind as "non-Kratos"). He looks the same as regular Kratos, but utilizing him in the game, arena or challenges makes the game do glitchy things. I haven't tested every game scenario with non-Kratos, but here are some results.

Non-Kratos in:

Main game
- game appears laggy, camera is decalibrated, Kratos is off-screen and can walk through walls (most likely because the game unloads walls which are off-screen). It's difficult to play in this state but the game will let you progress if you can manage the terrible camera angle. Would be interesting to see how far you can take this state. Menus functions as normal, and restarting seems to revert things back to normal (?) Quitting at this point makes the Main Menu laggy but Kratos has returned.

Arena (I've only tested what you see in this vid)
7:13 - 7:45 non-Kratos in arena solo. Non-Kratos suddenly vanishes and the arena loses its graphics. They return if you turn on RoS, and the Blade of Olympus appears to be in the middle of the arena.

8:06 - 8:35 Non-Kratos in Arena with random enemies. The game alternates between laggy and normal, if you engage mini-games you see chaotic camera and close-up angles.

Challenges
7:46 - 8:05 Non-Kratos in Old Birds. Game displays main menu during the challenge. At first I thought they were residual graphics, but when I turned on RoS the sky turned red indicating that the challenges may reside within the main menu-area? I then fell OOB due to unloaded walls or non-Kratos walking through a wall?

A lot still to test.

2:35 Dashing in order to transform Kratos into "bubbles-Kratos"

2:48 Kratos becomes "bubbles-Kratos"

2:55 - 3:06 Bubbles-Kratos bleeding. A lot.

3:07 & 8:35 Phase II dashing in order to create a black-out.

3:19 Phase III dashing in order to summon the R1 save prompt.

3:24 - 4:11 R1 save prompt appears, I save and then quit game.

4:12 - 4:47 Kratos missing from the Title Screen, and from the costumes. I then start a new game with non-Kratos.

4:57 - 6:26 Decalibrated camera as I try to play through a laggy game, I managed phase I enemies but then fell OOB. I quit game.

6:27 The Title Screen music is glitchy and laggy.

6:36 - 7:12 I load my "glitched save", the game displays residual graphics from the title screen. I then quit in order to set-up the non-Kratos glitch.

9:07 Entering Athena cutscene as Nega-Kratos after ending swim-glitch at River Styx.

9:39 Athena gives Kratos absent blades. But Nega-Kratos has no blades, so activating the Athena cutscene is not required in order to "have" Nega-Blades.

10:00 Nega-Kratos
