Skipping the 1st Labyrinth Box v2 & v3 for a New Game speedrun.

If you want to learn all the glitches, skips and glitch-techniques that my colleagues and I have found in this game. You can check-out our GoWIII Glitch FAQ: gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps3/943928-god-of-war-iii/faqs/59988

EDIT: You have to reach the end of the short hallway up ahead before doing this skip, to hit a loading trigger.

EDIT 2: You can also use version 2 to get on top of the 1st box during the first fight, but box 2 isn't loaded on the other side. But getting on top of box one early leaves the possibility of skipping more, if other boxes are loaded around the 1st box during the fight.

Version 1 of this skip involved a very strange momentum glitch, where doing an upside down air dash could get you high enough to go up through a hole in the middle of the room. But these two versions are much easier, especially v3, which has a 99% success rate:

Here is version one with its strange upside down dashing momentum, for those that are interested:

Version 2:
1. Grab the ledge and then angle the L-controller directly forward and press X as you are about to reach the 'area of levitation'. This will cause Kratos to be buried under the floor at an angle. A split second after you press X (as above) use Army of Sparta magic to make Kratos move towards the exit.

2. When Kratos has moved to the left of the exit, use Army of Sparta again to make Kratos do a slanted magic animation up towards the climbing grapple in the next room.

3. Once Kratos touches the grapple wall, he'll start climbing and he returns to normal. From there you can jump up through the roof out-of-bounds.

4. Touch a crucial loading trigger on the other side of the second box's exit, and then continue along the invisible bridge to box 3.

Version 3 (Extremely easy method):
1. Grab the ledge, but make Kratos lift himself up onto it (as if trying to stand on it), and then keep X PRESSED as he drops down to grab the ledge a second time. This is crucial, or else you won't be able to breach through the roof later on when you levitate towards it.

2. While keeping X pressed, roll the L-controller very slightly up-and-down along its West edge to make Kratos move gradually towards the part of the ledge that will give you levitation.

This 'rolling action' forces Kratos to reach the 'area of levitation' in such a way that you give yourself a 99% chance of Kratos to rise in the required way.

3. Remember how I mentioned in step 1 to keep X PRESSED? Well this is the reason why. Normally when you levitate in this area, the roof cannot be breached. However, if you kept X pressed after lifting yourself up on top of the ledge, the game lets you use one of your jumps at the end of you levitation.

This jump is what lets you easily breach the roof.

4. Jet dash around or over the box to touch a crucial loading trigger on the other side of the second box's exit, and then continue along the invisible bridge to box 3.
