This is the second vid in my goat packing trip up to Thumb Lake in August, 2017. That first night I had spent at Silas Lake and had great fishing with my new Tenkara rod. Then the goats and I went on up past Island Lake to camp at Deer Lake, one of the little lakes just east of Thumb Lake. Nice fish there, but I couldn't catch a thing.
On the way in we spooked a moose and her calf, which was a tiny bit unsettling, as we all (me, goats & moose) headed down into the same little cirque to live together for the next few days.
This was the first time we encountered her. More were to come.....
This gorgeous voice belongs to Africa's wonderful singer, Oumou Sangare. She is featured on Bela Fleck's "Throw Down Your Heart" album.
