In Wyoming, we had a "bomb cyclone" that sent the temperature from about 45 F down to -40 in about a half hour. That temperature remained for several weeks, with a constant freezing wind. The sound of the frozen back door was what I used to create all the sounds you hear. There is a bit of silence in the beginning. This is the second in the three part "Wintering Well."
