i edited this video 3/4 days ago between 1:00 and 4:00 a.m. because i couldn't sleep, tbh i've had this song in mind for these characters since i was watching the anime during the summer 'cause i thought it would turn out to be quite a fun video, considering the lyrics :D so i fixed some stuff between yesterday and today, and here it is. i haven't spent much time on youtube lately, almost none at all, because i've been EXTREMELY busy and stressed with studies and various irl issues, but i'm still trying to be somewhat active even though before this video the last time i edited something was at the beginning of september lol i don't want to "quit", but inspiration and time are hard to find as always. still, i have projects in mind so pray for me plz

hello! i started this video on july 5th, the plan was finishing and uploading on the 7th aka SaruMi day but in the end i couldnt bring myself to complete it because ive seriously been in the worst mood during the past couple of days, for no particular reason. everything is fine though, its just one of those emo moments that struck every once in a while, you know lol im still not over it, but at least uploading a video is making me feel more productive
last year i couldnt edit anything for SaruMi day, since i was on a trip to japan (i miss it SO MUCH), and i absolutely didnt want to skip two years in a row. i always seem to edit them with angsty/sad songs, but thats a big part of the beauty of the pairing in my opinion haha the k seven stories lost small world movie was truly a blessing, since now im able to use all those emotional scenes from their childhood for added tears :))) even though im still annoyed at some changes/omissions they made at the beginning and i wish they could have adapted the whole novel, since the movie only stops halfway. but tbh i never even imagined i would see this in anime and two years after it came out i keep rewatching in awe
idk how after six years im not even close to being tired of editing them. maybe its because i put a bit of personal feelings in each one of their videos, maybe im just bound for life :)

it had been quite a while since i last edited a raw personal project, since september if im not wrong, so im glad to have finally managed to finish a video! this is not even the Banana Fish amv i mentioned i was working on in a poll i posted on the channel a while ago lol that one is still in the works, and its more from Eijis perspective
this video happened because i listened to this song again after a long time and realized just how fitting it is for Ashs character and story (do yourself a favor and check out the lyrics omg). the thing is, i had tried to edit with this almost a year ago when the song first came out, and i remember it was blocked due to copyright so i had to give it up. but i checked again, just in case, and turns out its not blocked anymore?? WHAT A BLESSING. i spent an entire week cutting scenes, i basically rewatched the whole anime, but the editing process didnt take all that long because as i said i had a lot of inspiration for the lyrics :) this anime was so painful to watch, Ash has been through so much and i really hoped he could get his well deserved happy ending :/ here i tried to portray his emotional struggles born from the kind of life hes been forced to live, and how after he met Eiji he felt like he had finally found someone to rely on, who could save his soul. im so sad rn i wanna cry
