...it's been a while lol
i wasted a good part of yesterday on this video, and i tried really hard to be done by today in order to still upload on January 15th which is the date ZOOL's new single is being released in Japan and i thought it would be cute! i've grown to love these boys a lot, they're presented as very negative characters at the beginning but with some more insight plus the progression of the story you can't help but notice their growth :') my favorite was Touma at first, but as i got to see them interact more amongst each other and also with other characters i'm now a Minami fan haha honestly they've had so many funny moments too, I LOVE THEM OK
and the music video slayed, but with Ufotable handling the animation it had to be expected so no surprises there
as for editing in general, quoting myself while i was trying to find a song: " i'll just slam that one overused song i've always wanted to edit in sv and be done with it". so here's the reason behind my choice lol plus for some unknown reason i immediately thought of Circus after watching the MV, who knows
this was edited 85% with my new computer, which no matter the amazing specs still can't handle the evil being known as Sony Vegas, it seems, since it still crashed a couple of times. then i had to transfer the project and everything else to my old laptop to do the coloring and some minor adjustments, 'cause i still don't have magic bullet and some other softwares on the new one. i'm just glad i finally edited something after not uploading for three months, there were attempts when it comes to fx too but i still need time to set up the new computer before i try anything more elaborate :') i'll try to be more active from now on, i've been neglecting youtube a lot lately. thanks for watching and happy 2020!

it had been quite a while since i last edited a raw personal project, since september if im not wrong, so im glad to have finally managed to finish a video! this is not even the Banana Fish amv i mentioned i was working on in a poll i posted on the channel a while ago lol that one is still in the works, and its more from Eijis perspective
this video happened because i listened to this song again after a long time and realized just how fitting it is for Ashs character and story (do yourself a favor and check out the lyrics omg). the thing is, i had tried to edit with this almost a year ago when the song first came out, and i remember it was blocked due to copyright so i had to give it up. but i checked again, just in case, and turns out its not blocked anymore?? WHAT A BLESSING. i spent an entire week cutting scenes, i basically rewatched the whole anime, but the editing process didnt take all that long because as i said i had a lot of inspiration for the lyrics :) this anime was so painful to watch, Ash has been through so much and i really hoped he could get his well deserved happy ending :/ here i tried to portray his emotional struggles born from the kind of life hes been forced to live, and how after he met Eiji he felt like he had finally found someone to rely on, who could save his soul. im so sad rn i wanna cry

i cant believe i managed to finish this honestly.
so, this is a video i made for this years SaruMi fest, basically a whole week when everyone who loves this ship posts their fanworks on tumblr! being the obsessed fangirl that i am, ofc i couldnt miss the chance :D each day has a specific theme, and todays is angst (as you can probably guess from the video XD)
actually, its already july 11th here so technically im late, but THERE ARE OTHER TIMEZONES IN THE WORLD SO I GUESS ITLL BE FINE OK
tbh i had been planning to do a video for this since months ago, i even had a song in mind, but in the end i changed it cause i didnt have much time and this one was easier to edit. yes, easier to edit, but then i had the bright idea of doing scene manipulations (it was my first time by the way, so hopefully ill do better in the future) and i spent the whole day on photoshop. killing off my favorite character ever, i guess i reached the ultimate level of masochism with this lol
anyway, for who has watched the anime, my idea here was a what if scenario where saruhiko gets killed right after his reconciliation with misaki in episode 12 of return of kings. this has always been one of the most painful scenarios i could ever think of, especially because it was close to actually happening and i found myself thinking about this pretty often
im dead tired now though cause its almost 4 a.m., but the important thing is that I MADE IT IN TIME

how many damn times have i rendered this thing omg
first i found mistakes in the video. then i noticed that i had spelled some words wrong (yeah, im not used to writing in French lol), then there were glitches everywhere and daaaaamn. im so glad its done now xD this is my part for a collab (Shuuneki only eheh) for RYS. im so looking forward to seeing the final video ;w;
also, i think i focus too much on details when i animate. like, you dont even notice in the end so its all a waste of time xD for example that one at 00:10 took hours and you can barely see that theyre blinking. ughhh CAN YOU ALL WATCH IT IN SLOW MOTION PLS. youll see what im talking about OTL
now, since i have an exam tomorrow, i should really, really, really stop worrying about this kind of stuff and go to study instead lol
