it had been quite a while since i last edited a raw personal project, since september if i'm not wrong, so i'm glad to have finally managed to finish a video! this is not even the Banana Fish amv i mentioned i was working on in a poll i posted on the channel a while ago lol that one is still in the works, and it's more from Eiji's perspective

this video happened because i listened to this song again after a long time and realized just how fitting it is for Ash's character and story (do yourself a favor and check out the lyrics omg). the thing is, i had tried to edit with this almost a year ago when the song first came out, and i remember it was blocked due to copyright so i had to give it up. but i checked again, just in case, and turns out it's not blocked anymore?? WHAT A BLESSING. i spent an entire week cutting scenes, i basically rewatched the whole anime, but the editing process didn't take all that long because as i said i had a lot of inspiration for the lyrics :') this anime was so painful to watch, Ash has been through so much and i really hoped he could get his well deserved happy ending :/ here i tried to portray his emotional struggles born from the kind of life he's been forced to live, and how after he met Eiji he felt like he had finally found someone to rely on, who could "save his soul". i'm so sad rn i wanna cry
