i almost took longer to upload this than to edit it omg
as i've already said, i'm stuck somewhere with little to no phone reception until the end of august, which obviously also means no internet 99% of the time. i'm suffering. i can edit at the moment, i have downloaded more or less what i need about a week ago when i was home for one day, but as i'm sure you can imagine the whole process is considerably slowed down without a working connection :') anyway, this is a video i did on a whim while taking a break from mep parts because as always inspiration is nowhere to be found
it's the first time i edit with a song in italian, which is my native language, and it didn't feel as weird as i thought it would haha but given how popular Måneskin has become since eurovision, i'm sure many will appreciate the song choice. the title means "i'll die like a king", i tried to match the lyrics with the scenes and the general vibe so please do check out the translation for the rest!

hello! i started this video on july 5th, the plan was finishing and uploading on the 7th aka SaruMi day but in the end i couldnt bring myself to complete it because ive seriously been in the worst mood during the past couple of days, for no particular reason. everything is fine though, its just one of those emo moments that struck every once in a while, you know lol im still not over it, but at least uploading a video is making me feel more productive
last year i couldnt edit anything for SaruMi day, since i was on a trip to japan (i miss it SO MUCH), and i absolutely didnt want to skip two years in a row. i always seem to edit them with angsty/sad songs, but thats a big part of the beauty of the pairing in my opinion haha the k seven stories lost small world movie was truly a blessing, since now im able to use all those emotional scenes from their childhood for added tears :))) even though im still annoyed at some changes/omissions they made at the beginning and i wish they could have adapted the whole novel, since the movie only stops halfway. but tbh i never even imagined i would see this in anime and two years after it came out i keep rewatching in awe
idk how after six years im not even close to being tired of editing them. maybe its because i put a bit of personal feelings in each one of their videos, maybe im just bound for life :)

i was supposed to upload this yesterday because i wanted to do something for saruhikos birthday (ofc i started late, on monday at midnight or something because university doesnt even give me time to breathe), but im a piece of trash and i couldnt finish :) so i had to finish and upload today. im happy regardless because despite saruhiko being my favorite character ever and sarumi my all time otp, the last time i did a personal video with them - excluding the 49034832 mep parts - was more than two years ago when i had just started editing basically XD and i tried several times to do one, but i always ended up dropping the projects. so, finally, the miracle happened ;w; even if its super short

it had been quite a while since i last edited a raw personal project, since september if im not wrong, so im glad to have finally managed to finish a video! this is not even the Banana Fish amv i mentioned i was working on in a poll i posted on the channel a while ago lol that one is still in the works, and its more from Eijis perspective
this video happened because i listened to this song again after a long time and realized just how fitting it is for Ashs character and story (do yourself a favor and check out the lyrics omg). the thing is, i had tried to edit with this almost a year ago when the song first came out, and i remember it was blocked due to copyright so i had to give it up. but i checked again, just in case, and turns out its not blocked anymore?? WHAT A BLESSING. i spent an entire week cutting scenes, i basically rewatched the whole anime, but the editing process didnt take all that long because as i said i had a lot of inspiration for the lyrics :) this anime was so painful to watch, Ash has been through so much and i really hoped he could get his well deserved happy ending :/ here i tried to portray his emotional struggles born from the kind of life hes been forced to live, and how after he met Eiji he felt like he had finally found someone to rely on, who could save his soul. im so sad rn i wanna cry

i cant believe i managed to finish this honestly.
so, this is a video i made for this years SaruMi fest, basically a whole week when everyone who loves this ship posts their fanworks on tumblr! being the obsessed fangirl that i am, ofc i couldnt miss the chance :D each day has a specific theme, and todays is angst (as you can probably guess from the video XD)
actually, its already july 11th here so technically im late, but THERE ARE OTHER TIMEZONES IN THE WORLD SO I GUESS ITLL BE FINE OK
tbh i had been planning to do a video for this since months ago, i even had a song in mind, but in the end i changed it cause i didnt have much time and this one was easier to edit. yes, easier to edit, but then i had the bright idea of doing scene manipulations (it was my first time by the way, so hopefully ill do better in the future) and i spent the whole day on photoshop. killing off my favorite character ever, i guess i reached the ultimate level of masochism with this lol
anyway, for who has watched the anime, my idea here was a what if scenario where saruhiko gets killed right after his reconciliation with misaki in episode 12 of return of kings. this has always been one of the most painful scenarios i could ever think of, especially because it was close to actually happening and i found myself thinking about this pretty often
im dead tired now though cause its almost 4 a.m., but the important thing is that I MADE IT IN TIME
