When we create enrichment items, we like to listen to feedback from the keepers, or with our own observations and critiques, and this gives us an opportunity to either update a device or alter it in some way.
Last year we had a group create some feeders for the giraffe, which they have been using inside the stables ever since. However, they were too tall to fit in between the cable on the outside enclosure comfortably. And so fast forward a year and another team build group has created these updated shorter versions that fit perfectly.
The keepers are still using the taller ones, but have allowed us to move some onto other collections so that they can be used in public view, so keep an eye on this Sunday's post for a giraffe feeder giveaway!!
