Another excellently turned out woodworking tool by premium Chinese tool manufacturer Hongdui. It's a marking gauge but, despite the name, doesn't do things by halves (damn! Wish I slipped that into the video somewhere!).
This tool can be set to your stock height/thickness, automatically giving half that thickness at the blade end for marking. This makes it a useful centering or centre marking tool, as well as for laying out lapped and half lap joints. Useful for marking out tenons too!
Much more handy than I thought it would be.
