It's been nearly two decades since the GE Evolution series was introduced in the US, but Australia's smaller "Loading Gauge" has prevented that prime mover from being used down here.....until now! Back in 2024, the first Aussie built "GEVO" was finally finished and ready for testing, and it was put into service late in 2025.
I missed them on my last visit to the Adelaide Hills, but managed to catch one on this trip , but only with the phone. They sound great, compared to the very quiet "NR" class , so I look forward to filming them with the main camera next trip.
