Some Car like the Fisker Ocean, Tesla or initially the Polestar2 never came with Carplay and some will never get it. Here is a work around of installing an extra screen with wireless carplay and android auto on it, along with front and rear dash cams. That comes in handy! The Fisker Ocean used to have ‘Holywood mode’ from video playing entertainment while you wait charging. This unit allows you to screen mirror from your phone so provides a replacement for that missing function.
The dashcams, front and rear, can be left recording providing a simplified equivalent for ‘sentry mode’ in Teslas. The display screen can quickly and easy be turned off (push button). It links to your car speaker system via bluetooth, FM radio or wired jack cable or you can use the units speaker.
