Permanently fix the Landxcape robot lawnmower with E3 Error.
How to fix the E3 error on Landxcape Lawn Mower. LX799, Lx790 etc #landxcapeE3error
Lawnmower keeps stopping, blade motor stops and starts? E3 error ALL the time! - Here is the fix!
For Landxcape LX799 as in video, probably also works on the similar LX790, LX791, LX792, LX795, LX796, LX797. But I have not tested these.
New 1.8 Firmware from this site but all in German and you have to register to get the firmware (lots of translating needed!):-

Or just download here where I have put a copy (hope that is ok to the owners!, if not I will remove), just download, unzip (extract) the file (most computers/ipad etc will do this), and put the resultant “PLX-v1.80.1-usb.bin” file on a FAT32 formatted USB memory stick of under 32GB size, but big enough to hold this file, which is less than 2MB, then plug into your Landxcape mover:

Here is the list of instructions for installing the new firmware,
1. Downloaded firmware 1.8 as above.
2. Format a USB memory stick as FAT-32.
3. Extract downloaded firmware v1.8, Make sure you put the “PLX-v1.80.1-usb.bin” file on the USB memory stick.
4. Turn off mower, place USB stick in mower under rubber cover underneath at the front of the mower, it lifts out, and place in charger
5. Turn on mower
Now 1 dash appears on screen - WAIT!
After a while, the dash briefly turned into a turning circle
Then the display states "USB"
6. When the display states USB, remove the USB stick
Now the screen starts flashing weirdly - WAIT!
After some time, the mower automatically turns off / reboots.
1. Turn off the mower
2. Turn on the mower using presses on power + OK button at the same time (which displays the firmware, should now confirm "1.8")
3. Put in your PIN code and start - OK and off it goes for the next hour and a half non stop!!
The new bigger capacity battery I mentioned was from Amazon with description “20 V 3500 mAh lawn robot battery, replacement battery for Landxcape LX790i/LX790/LX792/LX795/LX796/LX797/LX991” sadly out of stock, but look at your old battery, under a screwed down panel underneath to the front and you will see it looks the same as these so probably compatible:
